    Bond being
    eclipsed
by a newcomer, a new gen of 00s - god forbid, that would be the worst idea.

    An evil plan to
    blackout
Britain (oh, wait, wasn't that GE?)

Shatterhand in Dutch (where I was born) is Schaterhand, a really ugly word in my language. I can't seem to bend it into something Bondian. I've always liked how the word eclipse sounds and in this case what it could mean, as it sounds rather ominous and fitting for a send off for Craig. Like the two titles before it only one word and has a strong S, just not in the beginning. 007 letters each for the last three titles. My 2 cents.

So: Skyfall > Spectre > Eclipse

Well, congrats to @JeremyBondon (maybe) for correctly guessing the title even before Boyle left!

Well lads, I have returned to take all the credit for the new title. As @Walecs mentions, I already knew this post Boyle, it's just that EoN and Fukunaga needed to read upon my eternal brilliance :D Jokes aside, I'm happy they went with my genius brain ;)

Thanks @Walecs and partner in crime @Univex

What about that blind villain rumor?

Oh, that's right. Good one. So, just like Woody Allen wanted to make everyone taller than him die, this new villain wants to blind the world. Brilliant :) Selfish and brilliant. "They'll see, they'll see, I'll blind them all and make them see my vision. My inner vision for a new world..." Nah, sounds too much megalomaniacal. Still, could be.

What about that blind villain rumor?

That came from a (most likely) incorrect report that B25 would be based off of "Never Dream of Dying" which has a blind villain. Wonderful book, but I doubt EON will use a continuation novel at this point

Station Z is a good guy; when I reported on Jamaica here, he contacted me immediately with similar info. He does find out info that no one on this site (minus @ColonelSun), would have (including the name of a certain spouse that I had to verify, lol).

I hafta believe he thinks he came across something legit and shared with us, and we should be thankful, even if a rumour.

Throwing my two cents into this, and I could be way off the mark, but, in this case, i don’t think this is the title.

As we get closer to filming there will be “plants” and rumours and “smoke and mirror” tactics to throw off fans and media alike; in this business it gets harder and harder to surprise...!

Hey Peter you didn't respond to my email! I'm hurt lmao!!

It was your email that made me come on here and see what was going on, @Blofeld0064!

Indeed. Not to mention, Raymond Benson himself denied ever being in talks with the producers to which all the credit to the story stays with him, and deemed the report to be false and baseless of trustworthy sources.

And people would just say that they copied Blade Runner 2049 because they're not familiar with the book.

There is another film titled goldeneye and spectre as well. Ironically Christopher waltz was in goldeneye a film made in 1989.

Good assessment. Perhaps Station Z did see something, but it could have been a plant as you described. I wouldn't trust any sources before the announcement of the press conference. Once the press conference is being setup, and you have normal people needing to work around the REAL title of the film, it's very hard to keep it under wraps. I remember for SP the title was leaked just days before the press conference. And i believe the person who leaked it was working around the press conference.

I would laugh out loud if the working title is…
    Eclipse
and the actual title turns out to be…
    Solar
It would even fit with EONs love for S-word titles.

    Seven letters, please.

    S O L A R I S.

I sincerely hope we’re at the point now where we don’t get anymore lulls in news. At this point it should be full steam ahead with rumors, pictures, etc., especially if Norway filming starts this week.

Seriously though, is EoN snooping around on MI6? Anyone?

What I love about most of the one-word titles in the series is that they are uniquely Bond. In no other realm do the words "Goldfinger," "Thunderball," "Moonraker," or "Skyfall" exist. If you Google those words, you'll find only 007. Spectre, I realize, is a different case, since it's already a word, but it gets a pass because it is still, at its heart, so Fleming-esque. A one-word title that is "just a regular" word doesn't get me excited, even if it's an interesting word.
    This.

Which is why I am hoping it isn't the real title. Also, why would they use a title from another recent and popular movie series? That just doesn't make much sense to me.

Well, according to the source it's only a working title. Either way, my guess is that when they announce the actual title, whenever that may be, it'll be something totally different.

They probably thought "Well now they know it's not Shatterhand, let's throw another misdirect at them." :)

I mean, Jared Leto was in all of 5-minutes of that behemoth, so I'm not sure how many people would jump to that conclusion to be perfectly honest...

Shifting the topic a bit, but filming for B25 will officially be underway in 7 days. Do we think Craig or any principle cast will be present in Norway?

Not that I know anything but...
I believe Léa and Daniel will be there...or just "the kid" and Jesper Christensen

Based on anything you've heard, or just speculation?
I doubt the sequence is the rumored Madeleine Swann flashback with the girl they casted being Iranian.

A press conference announcement has to be coming in the next 2-3 weeks at least right?
Who knows? At this point, they could be ditching the conference all together. Just trowing themselves into work.

Why would they ditch the PC when they’ve had one for every single Craig-Bond movie?

I hope so! I want to know the cast. Are both Christoph Waltz and Jeffery Wright coming back? It only makes sense, if this is a finale.

Well they have to announce the title one way or another. At the very least, I'd imagine the press release to be accompanied by some sort of title-reveal graphic.

Do we honestly think they'll have casted the principles by April 5th?

Of the returning ones, we pretty much do. Seydoux, Fiennes, Whishaw, and Harris. They probably would want some of the new members there though.
