If the rumored title "Eclispe" is merely a working title it may have some meaning to the actual title.

From Wikipedia's article on Eclipse "The term is derived from the ancient Greek noun ἔκλειψις (ékleipsis), which means "the abandonment", "the downfall", or "the darkening of a heavenly body", which is derived from the verb ἐκλείπω (ekleípō) which means "to abandon", "to darken", or "to cease to exist,"[2] a combination of prefix ἐκ- (ek-), from preposition ἐκ (ek), "out," and of verb λείπω (leípō), "to be absent"

If Bond has left the service he would be absent. An abandoned agent. The events of Bond 25 may force him to come...

    "Out of
    the Shadows."

A press conference announcement has to be coming in the next 2-3 weeks at least right?
Or less, maybe a few days from today. IF the Norwegian shoot indeed begins next Monday, maybe we'll have a Press Conference on friday. Remember when Lizo said a few pages back that EON/SONY send the invitation to the London journalists two days from the official annoucement? Again, I haven`t heard anything, but it could be friday.
    This Friday?

That means by Wednesday we could know about a press conference. Not holding my breath on it, but that would be damn cool.

Agreed. If only that'd be the case.

It is rumored to be the title of B25 after an apparent leak.

@NS_writings No need to put Ellipsis in spoiler tags as it is not the rumored title in question.

I'm against this for the same reason I'm against The Hildebrand Rarity. The password for a door at an airport is gonna be a James Bond title or the name of a safehouse in London is gonna be a title? No thanks.

In my opinion, you can't use these without bringing it back to how they were originally used, and if you think they can, you might as well call the film Skyfleet.

Well, I agree on that point, story-wise.
I meant the title in another Bond context would have worked.

It was the door passcode in the airport, and of course a reference to the dot, dot, dot before almost every gun barrel sequence.

Oh in a different yes it definitely could, just not as a follow-up title to Casino Royale like someone suggested.

It could’ve just been a way to remember the numbers of the code rather than an actual password.

So Boyle is on record now. I am interpreting as he wanted ONLY Hodge as the writer for his film (with his own input, too, I guess). Well, no. I totally understand why EON brings in other writers. Interesting, though.

Or outright hubris. The kind of conceit that reveals or represents something important about their organization or caper unnecessarily, to delight of the villain.

I'm happy Boyle is gone, though I look forward to other films from him.

As far as the possible title goes, I'm fine with it. I rather like it.
I expect they may change it now, though.

Spectre didn't particularly have a press conference. It was just a photo call and the announcement of the production.
I'd much prefer the same format this time around, as opposed to a traditional press conference where the discussion is lead by horrible questions from journalists.

"Here's a question for Daniel. Daniel, what has James Bond in common to Joe Bang, the character you played in Logan's Lucky?"
    "Just the initials".

    Sigh.

Yeah it’s like a phone keypad, with certain letters corresponding to a certain number.

    here's a question....

what do you guys think is their aversion to using any of the titles from the continuation novels? - because i am sure if they really wanted to, they could.... would you even like to see them use any of those titles?

I'd be on top of the world if they adapt the Benson novels in full along with using the titles.

A lot of the times working titles are the actual titles.
    Eclipse
could very well be the final title.
