Sorry #CASINOROYALE I didnt mean to doubt your post. I was more curious as I said I would prefer if the female agent was CIA over Mi6.
Cannon believe people find qos a better made film than spectre. makes me laugh
Here it is:

SP's car chase barely qualifies as a car chase. More of like a car tailing sequence but Hinx was enjoying it too much, and was probably too afraid scratching the car (he just patched up a few minor paint scratches for God sake!). It was basically a slightly more serious version of the Bond and Onatopp sequence in Goldeneye. Except Goldeneye's sequence fully fleshed out the playfulness of it. In SP, the tone changes quicker than a Bond fan's top 5 list.
SP’s car chase had so much potential...
How is QoS better than spectre and skyfall. QoS is utter rubbish. The writers strike effected the film so badly. It's so bad. So your saying QoS villian was better and more memorable than skyfall and spectre's. QoS is utterly forgettable and without a doubt the weakest one. Im glad theres people who enjoyed it, but I just know that it's the weakest.
Agree, QoS is forgettable and horribly edited.
That feels like an over simplification... but is not the right thread to dive into this...
Yes, I'm glad you and some others agree with me. I don't want to sound mean to those who really enjoy it, because im happy for them in all honesty, but even Spectre's opening alone is far better than QoS's opening car chase. The writers strike effected that movie unfortunately, but I think the director's taste was not well suited either. Thanks for your thoughts on this too ;) I'll go back on topic now, as this is about bond 25, but just wanted to mention this after seeing so much love for QoS. It's very interesting though how others view the film though. When you mentioned the horrible editing, I cannot remember where it was in the film, but there's a moment when the film seems to jump to a scene that feels very disjointed. Can you remember what scene im trying to think of ?
Oh, man. These are three entirely different movies. QoS being a fastpaced rollercoasterride with Bourne-elements, the next a redemption movie with more focus on drama and less focus on action, and the latest a long poorly written "tick off all the boxes"-effort. To each his own. I prefer the Bond movies not directed by Mendes.
Spectre and skyfall had far better editing and memorable moments though. QoS felt like a generic action film to me. Utterly forgettable villian, horrible editing, poor theme, not to mention the camera work. Then don't get me started on the copying scene from goldfinger with fields death. So uninspiring. Like they run out of ideas with that film. The plot was so week too. At leask spectre had interesting ideas, like when the plane smashing through the wooden hut, or the helicopter scene that spirals. Thats the kind of things you want in a bond film, not just generic action with nothing to stand out. Thats what makes bondian action memorable and unique to generic action movies out there. I suppose you cannot please everyone though and people will view films different to others.
Recently, I came to appreciate QOS a lot more in terms of story. I think that with a little twist and with Greene being stronger and imposing the film could have been much better than Skyfall. But, honestly, I can't forgive the shakey cam editing, the unbondian main title sequence and the rushed gunbarrel at the end. In that sense, Skyfall wins. But when I think the main villain just wants to kill an old lady and that's just the dream of his life, well, I have to say SPECTRE beats both of them by a million miles.
Yeah I agree, but i did love the fact that the villian worked at mi6 and i loved the danger m was under and bond having to protect her. I loved the ending to skyfall though.
Wonder what the next bit of news will be?
I agree. I hope it's next week or before the 5th when they begin filming.
Yes, filming in Norway is scheduled to 25th March-2nd April, a day or two longer than previously stated. Have not heard of any other locations than Hakadal and Lutvann so far. Peculiar.
+1
Just compare Quantum and SPECTRE meetings, the former actually feels real, the latter is plain stupid. Why would so many people show up at the biggest criminal organization with their boss revealing himself so easily?
Not to mention brother gate and the anticlimatic London finale. Ugh.
Also, I will always prefer a Bond film over a Scooby Gang film.
Yeah, that pretty much summarizes SPECTRE.
+1, very eloquently put.
