They ALWAYS give us a conference right when shooting starts... It’s gotta be legit?
I don't know, maybe because we still don't have a complete cast and the script is supposedly still incomplete.
Really? How do you know?
They have a cast. It’s just not public information yet.. That’s why they have the press conference.
Also filming begins within the first couple of weeks of April right?
Also if it opens with bond and Madeline being attacked (just guessing) they will be attacked by minor actors not even credited in the film so..
Just going off of the most recent playlist article. Especially since they seem to know Fukunaga/Burns.
Yes,but,as pointed out earlier, this wouldn't be the first film to start off without a completed script,as TND also did.
You had a pretty straight answer from myself, but yet again I'm going to be very specific and probably repetitive.
Would you keep defending EON if the movie was pushed back to the end of 2020?
Yes, because they know what they do altough they don't tell us exactly what that is and they are in no obligation in explaining why to us. EON is not a PM or a President that has to explain us a raise in taxes or the reasons behind a new law. All we are supposed to know is that "James Bond Will Return" and later the date in which he'll return followed by the cast and crew, which may or may not change. It's always been like this, the promise of Bond returning, the date, and some of the cast and crew integrating the production. Everything else we know is leaked or guessed by the media, from the ridiculous "Idris will be Bond #6" to "There's a set in Norway". The difference is that after internet and social media the "news" on every Bond film are written by people who know insiders or think that know insiders or can elaborate a five paragraph article because Ralph Fiennes hasn't read the script. That and the fact that everyone has a word on social media can create an ambient of drama and disappointment, so that makes all the thing even more annoying.
As for the apparent delay that doesn't exists as we speak, I wouldn't mind Bond 25 delayed again. Worse than the fact that the film is delaying would be tolerating all the twitterboyz asking for Barbara Broccoli to resign to the family business that made James Bond a popular icon worldwide. Of course, I'd wish to have the film coming earlier, but there are far worse things than a delay, and all the worse things (i.e. what you read in tabloid headlines) can come once EON is out.
That said, I agree with everyone else that EON is not a democracy. No-one else besides them has made James Bond films, unless you consider a swinging 1960s spy spoof with David Niven and Jean-Paul Belmondo fighting guys in a casino under the effects of laughing gas or a cheap and cheesy 1980s hi-tech film with an overacted cast whose only trump card is Sean Connery. Honestly, if a grandson or Kevin McClory would be legally able to remake Thunderball yet again he'd hire Idris Elba as Bond and Lea Michele as the Bond girl.
So, the whole "Barbara should resign" idea is absolutely pointess. She is EON, and EON is Bond. They are the reason why people under 30 are talking about James Bond now. And not only talking, but collecting.
How about if the movie was pushed back to 2021 and the end result turned out to be a horrible mess?
Same as above. I also add that when Boyle left, I wrote a mail to EON Productions to tell them I support their decition and as a mere spectator I knew MGW and BB were following the mandates of Cubby of not letting outsiders handling Bond as if it was theirs. As for the "horrible mess", that is subjective. People call SPECTRE a horrible mess and I think it was the most Bondian adventure we've had since TWINE or DAD. So I might like that "horrible mess", actually.
I was being sarcastic ;)
why not didn't Gregg give us news about Rami recently or am I mis thinking
Or at the workplace.
It’s not confirmed....
this has ot be fake. only got a twiiter count this year. its fake
As trump would say He's fake news =)) @Gareth007 sorry I couldn't help it
They know.
Try not to multi-post @Gareth007fan ,the mods don't like it.
Keep it all in one post, you can still add to it afterwards.
Just a friendly piece of advice. ;)
Yep, I doubt someone with a "production source" would behave this way...
Plus, 0 followers, only follows Baz and Rodrigo. I think he just wanted to stir the web.
I'm not a betting man, but I would place 13 quadrillion dollars on it being Risico007.
Did your sources confirm?
This is confirmation bias. It means nothing. Doesn’t mean he isn’t cast in the role, but people are crawling for information where there isn’t any. It doesn’t help we’re not getting any news from EON but that’s okay too, it’ll all come in time.
We’ve got 24 official films and I’m sure some of the people in this thread haven’t read all 14 novels; busy yourselves. News will come when it comes.
Now that you say it, his manners look a bit familiar...
What I've been saying all day. And there's actually 40 novels counting the continuation authors that you can even read through eBook editions.
