To be honest, I'm liking the more relaxed clothing fits.

I don‘t like it at all. These boat shoes...!

Yes, the shoes are hideous, aren't they? A teenage schoolboy's shoes. Worn sail shoes. But to paraphrase Harrison Ford: If we're paying attention to his shoes, then the movie's no good ;) I don't remember what he had on his feet in CR during the chase. And desert boots from Clarks seem to be a bit too hot for Jamaica this time of the year.

Lol, he's meant to blend in. Also, if Bond has been truly living the island life, his clothes and shoes are going to reflect that relaxed lifestyle.
Bond is not dressing for a runway or 5 star resort. I think it looks great for the setting.

Shoes are what we are complaining about?

Some people really need to examine their lives if this is a problem.

I actually think its a great touch, and an attention to detail, that the shoes show sign's of wear. It shows a passage of time and subtly gives insight into Bond's lifestyle in Jamaica.

Have no fear, at some point, Bond will scrub up and regain his penchant for style.

That's true. Hadn't thought of that.

Craig looks fantastic in these shots. Great to see Felix. Not loving the costume design on them though... a little too LTK 80s for me. Hopefully it will just be like Madagascar CR moment where I wasn't loving costume design either.

If Bond is operating in a seedy part of town and trying blend in, high fashion, even if casual would be a mistake.
Not high fashion, but think QoS where he was stylish in seedy areas... but I see your point it depends on the circumstance.

I'm not putting a link but it seems the Sun are running with the idea that Dan has taken control of the film, the launch was a flop, they don't have a clue what is going on and all the crew hate Craig.

They are also comparing EON to MCU and the hype juggernaut of Endgame . Possibly some lazy hack has been listening to some of the verbal diarrhoea that certain members spout here when they feel like kicking the series because it doesn't deliver on their expectations.

I don't know the idea mayeb to spur him onto produce a CR standard performance by bad mouthing him but the press really don't like Daniel Craig.

I imagine he's going to smash it out the park and leave those talentless copy and pasters eating their words.

They'll be eating out of his hand come release when the film is grabbing raves across the board.

The Sun and the New York Post, both owned by Rupert Mudoch's News Corp., are doing stories along this line. (I won't post the links, either).

Didn't really want to see that I thought this was the non spoiler thread

    That's really not a spoiler.

How long until the teaser poster is also considered a spoiler?

Tick, tock. Not long now I'd say, @NS_writings

    To me, a spoiler is...

    -Death of a key character.
-Mention of thorough details of the very last scene.
-Resolution of a fight scene (i.e. "Bond beats the guy with his Omega watch gadget").
-Unexpected reveals (Graves is Colonel Moon, Eve is Moneypenny, etc)

    Other than that...

-Gunbarrel is at the beginning/end is not a spoiler.
-Main titles feature X iconography is not a spoiler.
-Bond wears a tux is not a spoiler.
-Bond kisses the girl is not a spoiler (unless he kissed Dench's M)
-Bond fires his PPK is not a spoiler.
-The girl wears a red dress is not a spoiler.
-A film still of Bond holding his gun is not a spoiler.
-A film still of Bond talking to a character is not a spoiler.
    -The trailers are not spoilers.
    -The posters are not spoilers.

I know people who consider the press release spoilers.
  • Pictures are a little disappointing. Locale seems ideal for the Hawaiian Hobo look. A lost opportunity.

But we don't know how it will look from the production's cameras. Things can look substantially different between what the movie's cameras are shooting and what nearby cameras are recording. Angles, lighting, etc., can mean a lot.

The Sun and the New York Post, both owned by Rupert Mudoch's News Corp., are doing stories along this line. (I won't post the links, either).

A few days ago, someone posted that there may be some group pressure to badmouth the production, because it's made by a rival to 20th Century Fox.
However, the thing is that Fox has the video distribution rights to the previous 24 films in the series (I'm not sure about the next one). And, since March, Murdoch has no longer interests in the film industry. The Fox group was sold, apart from the Fox Network, Fox News, Fox Business, and Fox Sports channels to Disney.
If anything, these fake reports are just serving the current conservative agenda of accusing #metoo of ruining everything while pointing fingers at supposedly liberal (he was against Brexit) actors like Craig. They belong to a quite British tradition but when they were exported to the US (like the NYP), they had no problem finding some manure to grow on.

If we get any, my guess would be a few weeks after filming has completed in Jamaica.

I believe the Fox home video business was also picked up by Disney. I believe the Fox contract with Bond runs out in 2020.

I’m curious where they go after Jamaica. My guess is london to reunite with the mi6 team. Yes Craig does look good but he has aged a good bit since spectre.

Well, I don't love seeing Bond in battered Topsiders, but I'd definitely allow it (and consider it quite Flemming) if in the film it turns out that he's just stepped off his boat. MGW has specifically said that in his 'retirement,' Bond is "sailing around on his yacht." So that would be appropriate.

And it's just brilliant seeing Felix back. Bless him!

Though it's hard not to feel a little bit wistful about the time that's passed - one wishes Wright and Craig could have been shooting this stuff 3 years ago!

All exciting stuff and here's hoping we're finally getting a good sense of momentum going.

Along these lines, if they're doing less location work this time around, do we think that:
    a) they'll spend more time at Pinewood, or,
    b) they'll be having their few locations doubling for more?

    Sperry are THE Boat shoes.
They are really really famous and used at least here in Italy by "sailors" and boat owners

The gaps between films in the Craig era have become almost equivalent to Brozza's entire run.

Have a guy at my workplace today taking pictures on behalf of Bond 25 for a possible location. So they're still looking for locations while the film is being shot. Rather excited at the prospect!!!

Wonder Woman 2 did 9 weeks of shooting here last summer....

Wish i could tell you where i work!

I wish Craig had done at least one more within his tenure if not two more but mgm bankruptcy and then lack of direction caused delays

On a perfect world it would of been this

    1. Casino Royale 2006
    2. Quantum of solace 2008
    3. Skyfall 2010 (essentially the same film we got)
    4. The Hildebrand Rarity 2012(the nine eyes plot but better explained with it being Quantum and Spectre has no mentions)
    5. All the time in the world 2014 (essentially a retread of Licence to Kill with swans death)
    6. The Rough with The smooth 2016 ( a reworking of Diamonds are forever the novel)
    7. Death to spies 2019 (a reworking of Moonraker novel)

God that would be cool oh well 5 is still good and hoping bond 25 is The Hildebrand Rarity
