MR, OP and AVTAK are largely excellent. The former and the latter are sublime at points. I say that as someone who really doesn't mind the FYEO score (and quite likes a fair portion of it).
Both MR and AVTAK are of his post-Connery greats. There are bits that feel very Bondian it awakens the action man in you... like the Snow Business cue from AVTAK, or the Cable Car cue as well as the space intro bits. But, TMWTGG and OP are awfully tired. Can't remember anything from them other than sounds of tired and sleepy philharmonic tunes. Got to say also he didn't deliver a great gunbarrel theme after DAF.
...which tying back to Bond 25, I wouldn't want to see him return. If Eon hires him back, I'll be really speechless...
And yes, back on topic, Newman announced for Bond 25 would crush me more than anything. Arnold needs to announce, "I never left."
Damn, I must've missed those!
In all seriousness, I'm not sure if these few mentions of B25 progress will warrant an official statement anytime soon, but it's better than hearing nothing, for those who are eager to get any sort of info regarding the film.
Time for someone new to inject new life & style into the Bond sound.
Yes!!! Nice job. I wish all the Craig gun barrel sequences were that good.
Ehh if only they listened and took advice from us fans. Great music mixture thought!
I still have no idea why EON let that moron score not one, but two Bond movies. Even when talking about some lousy scores from the past (Serra, Conti), at least they had their moments of Bond style. Newman never sounds Bondian or grand. I want Arnold back for B25, and the foreseeable future.
@AgentJamesBond007 That was amazing!
Mendes wanted him.
To which the correct response would have been, "I'm sorry Mendes, but you're here at our pleasure, and the answer is no, you stupid tit."
Lmao
