This discussion is simple. Comment on your favorite moments from any Bond film where Bond completely outsmarts a baddie. I have too many too count on my mind, so I'll start us off and let you all continue.

1.)In DN Bond finds Dent to be a traitor and stuffs his bed with pillows in the form of himself. Bond sits and plays cards, Walther in hand, waiting for Dent. Dent enters, shoots the pillows thinking they're Bond, and gets caught. Bond shoots him dead when he tries to reach for his discarded gun.

2.) In QoS Bond enters the Bregenz Opera House and infiltrates the seemingly secure line Quantum has and snaps their profiles for future reference. All members(but White) leave in such an idiotic fashion as i they wearing wearing signs on their bodies telling Bond "HERE I AM 007 SNAP MY PHOTO! OVER HERE!". Nonetheless it's one of my favorite QoS scenes.

3.) In FRWL Bond is held at gunpoint by Grant, and lets him take what money he has. Grant idiotically gets himself set up to open Bond's case which 007 has set up to shoot out tear gas. 007 frees himself and Grant and Bond go head to head on the Orient Express, one of the most thrilling bouts of the franchise.

I'm done. It's all yours!

4.) In GE, Bond outsmarts Trevelyan by kicking the ladder hitch, sliding to the bottom of the antenna, only to let Alec fall to his death moments later.

5.) In QoS, Bond takes on everyone in the hotel elevator by attacking with such ferocity the second the elevator door closes that he takes out two or three guys before the others can even react.

Good picks, especially the QoS bout. Sadly my QoS DVD flips out at that exact part and resumes with Bond talking with M again outside the elevator. Which leads to another brilliant Bond move, where 007 traverses the architecture of the hotel and escapes agents with a price on his head.

    "For England James..,
    ...no, for me"

    Or

"wait! I'm just a professional doing a job"
    "me too" (bang)

Both proof that Pierce could be ruthless when he wanted to be.

DaltonCraig, you and I are two very different people! :-|

I always get a kick out of Casino Royale when Dryden pulls the trigger of an empty pistol in Bond's direction.

"I know where you keep your gun..."

Bond outsmarted the s*** out of Dryden, there.

@0Brady, it was as if Bond knew the exact routes of all the guards in the hotel. He just glides around corners and traverses the railings like they are nothing.

Ha, yes that's a good scene SJ. Also the scene later on at Miami airport when he puts the bomb on the baddie's belt.

Or when Bond is cornered at the end of CR, and he sticks his suppressor through the door of the building, hits those air tanks, and everything is disrupted long enough for him to rush in.

How about in GF when Bond switches GF's golf ball to make him lose the match, and Bond then later bugs GF's car to trail him. There's so many Brilliant Bond moments in GF. Truly one of the best.

I think a Top 10 list is in order. Each Bond is represented.

    1. "Help yourself to some gold coins Grant. They'e in the briefcase"
    2. Carlos neglects to check his belt loops before texting.
    3. Waiting for Dent to shoot his load.
    4. Bond makes a charitable donation to Krest's decompression chamber.
    5. Bond interupts a Tosca teleconference for a photo opp.
    6. "Of course Kaufman, you can borrow my phone."
    7. That funhouse mannequin may come in handy.
    8. Goldfinger really should check his balls more often.
    9. Hillary figures out how not to bother the guard to step out for a bit.
    10. "Excuse me Khan, may I borrow your dice?"

Bond has no problem with skiing off a precipice, leaving the bad guys stranded as he rips open a union jack parachute on his decent! Brilliant

    One of my favorites:

"Mouton Rothschild IS a claret. And, I've smelled that aftershave before, and both times - I've smelled a rat."

Definitely, in fact the whole set up by bond of money and double cross was brilliant. Very overlooked bits of excellence in LTK.

How about in GF when Bond is being held in a cell by Goldfinger . 007 plays a little hide and seek with the guards and ledges himself just above the door, surprising the guard and escaping.

Or in LALD when Bond rigs the tarot cards. Very controversial scene.

How about in DN when Bond is being held in a cell in Dr. No's fortress. 007 plays a little hide and seek with the guards and ledges himself just above the door, surprising the guard and escaping.
i think you got DN confused with GF on that one ;-)

The dice bit with Khamal Khan was always a highlights.

Khan: "Play Mr. Bond. You'll need a great deal of luck to get out of this".
Bond: "Oh luck. Than I shall use player's priveldge and use you lucky dice".

    Moments Later

Bond: "It's not really in the wrist you know".

    Classic Bond

I have to admit that CR PTS scene was quite good.

    Some more overlooked ones:
    1. "Book her Superintendant, and be careful of her nail varnish."
    2. "You fools! He's got you all shooting at each other!"
    3. "Franz, please listen to me! It's not my money!"
    4. "That's the last you'll see of Heller and your Stingers."
    5. "She always did enjoy a good squeeze."

Number five is great, 00Beast. In the middle of the film's climax, he still has time to spout a one-liner like that.

    A few more:

Pierces little flick of the head as if he is being bothered by a fly to avoid an explosion inches from his head in GE.

The tie straightening in the tank chase from GE (which is brilliatn unlike the one from TWINE which is crap).

    Eating the grape in TB.

Throwing the fish out of the Lotus window in TSWLM. The look on Rogs face is priceless.

Standing on the lift and sniffing the flower in DAF.

Isn't the tie straightening in GE a few seconds after the statue falls on the two cop cars, or is it something else that leads up to it? Brilliant, either way.

    A few more:
Getting Jaws to look up, thus making his teeth clamp on to the magnet.

Using the Vanquish's invisibility cloak and tire spikes to make Zao crash his car into the water.

Pretending to shoot a bird while actually shooting Drax's sniper.
