There was talk a while back on MI6 that James Bond could introduce his kid or some offspring into the franchise

Can you imagine that, - James Bond junior doing a feat or marvel and Dad giving plaudits and recognition - 'That's my Boy' etc :-S

Bond can become a bit silly sometimes or go beyond the boundaries of commonsense, but it's safe to say such an occasion as this will never see the light of day

Snob: "Red wine with fish. Well that should have told me something..."
Committed: "Then maybe it's time you let me get on with my job."
Clever: "I'm afraid you lose the hole and the match."
    Womanizer: "Better make that two."

    Bond: "Well, enjoy yourself."

Max Zorin: "They'll more likely try and cover up your embarrasing incompetence."
007: "Don't count on it, Zorin."
Max Zorin: "Hahaha! You amuse me, Mr. Bond!"
007: "Oh, it's not mutual." (with that cold hard Roger look!)

    THAT'S MY BOY!!!

CR: Bond gets inside Body Works in Miami, tussles with Dimitrios, wins in a one on one knife fight and kills him out in the open, then sits him down and pats him on the cheek.

Ditto. Also on three occassions he totally pisses off M.
    1) When M asks how does he know she lives here, Bond replies,"just like I found out your name... I knew M was a randomly assigned letter.."
    2) When Villiers calls M in the middle of the night and tells her that he's logged into our secure website using your ID and Password. M's reaction then is priceless!
    3) At the airport when he calls for M, and M is on the line and he cuts her out by saying,"I'll call you back." as he figured out the password to the door.
Casino Royale is purely like a Bond's biography.

I know it may sound sick and extremely misogynist, and it’s by no means my proudest Bond moment but…

Bond – “Dink, say hello to Felix.”

    Dink – “Hello.”

    Felix – “Hi Dink.”

Bond – “Dink say goodbye to Felix.”

    Dink – “What?”

    Bond – “Man talk.” (SPANK!)

    That’s My Booooooooooyyyyyyy!!!

Yes, and Judi's delivering of the line "How does he know these things?!" is equally priceless. A great scene indeed.

TLD. Bond blows up a truck and casually parachutes onto a boat and picks up the phone.

Bond: "I'll report in an hour"

Hot chick walks up "won't you join me"

Bond grins and says "better make that two"

    Classic Dalton.

Also, in TWINE, when he escapes the bankers office, he slides down to the street and casually walks past the suprised people.

Reminds me of Mr. And Mrs. Smith, where that basic thing happens. Maybe Liman and the screenwriter was influenced by Bond.

(Ava and Liz, Felix's CIA girls, pull up in their car at the sunglasses stand)
"Hey, you lookin' for a party?"
Bond: "Seems like a good idea!" (gets in the backseat)

    That's my boy!!

Bond: "Madame, I've come to offer my sincere condolences." (PUNCH!!! Cue the music) "My dear Colonel Boitier, I don't think you should have opened that car door by yourself."

    That's my boy!!

    (Points Walther PPK at Yusef)
    Bond: "SIT DOWN!!!"

    That's my boy!!

(Bond notices Magda and Kamal Khan walk into Sotheby's auction house)
Bond: "Now there IS a lady..." (in classic Roger tone)

    That's my boy!!

"Hey, want to go and see Casino Royale tonight?"
"Nah, I'm still scarred from Brosnan and I can't bring myself to watch more."
"No, this is with Daniel Craig, who can actually act and be convincing as the cold and ruthless super spy."
"Well, what are we waiting for?!"

    *MOVIE PLAYS*

    Dryden: How did he die?
James Bond: Your contact? Not well.
Dryden: Made you feel it, did he? Well, you needn't worry. The second is...
    [Bond shoots Dryden]
    James Bond: Yes... considerably.

He did get all emotional and mourn over her dead body though. Not so cold and ruthless. Took points away from what should've been the best moment of Brosnan's tenure as Bond.

    In Skyfall, as Bond
runs out of the tube, heading for M's inquiry. He is beaten down, exhausted, and bent over backwards. And yet still, as M recites Tennyson's Ulysses, Bond races to save her, giving it everything he has left inside him while Newman's powerful score plays against the stark silence. It is broken only by the bombastic beating of my heart.
Bond, his mission, and his ever-enduring loyalty to Queen, country, and M are as clear as ever here.

    THAT'S MY BOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYY!

And I have never been more proud of him. :((
  • I agree with a lot of the scenes that people have said above me...

For myself, I'm thinking of scenes that aren't just cool, but that say to me "This is BOND!" or "Finally, Bond is back!"

Obviously, "The name's Bond..." at the end of CR was huge. The free running scene blew me away with how physical Craig's Bond was, but the jibes at the Ocean Club - "Oh, and the valet ticket" - signaled that a more Connery-esque, confident Bond who was a bit of a bastard was back. The same with patting Dimitrios' face after killing him, and the smile after the bomber blew himself up. But that final line - classic.

And as above, running to the inquiry in SF - one of the great, emotional high points of the series where Bond transforms from simply being cool or an action hero into an iconic, classical hero - St George come to life. As a Bond fan, my chest swelled with pride and it was a surprisingly emotional moment. I can't imagine what it would be like if I was British!

But also when he walked through the familiar door and later said "With pleasure..."
  • They all had memorable moments in their debuts so I don't need to point them out. They make my heart beat a little faster, maybe more than any other moment.

But something in SF really got me and it's already been said:
    In Skyfall, as Bond

It's not about Daniel Craig. It's James. Not the actor. But the man from the books. I felt proud of every reincarnation he had, every time he saved the country in the name of his "pathetic love" for England. I caught myself with tears in my eyes. And I'm not even British! :(

But that guy... That's my boy.

You aren't the only one, @youonlylivethrice. Skyfall gets me more emotional than any other Bond film. It just makes me proud to be a fan, and that is truly something special, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Seeing Bond being portrayed the best as he has been in a long long time is so refreshing and rewarding. Whether I am wide-eyed watching Dan command a room, laughing as he says a one-liner, flinching as he deals out punches, or tearing up as he gives his greatest performances in the crucial emotional scenes of the film, I simply know that Bond is back. No matter what is happening right now in our world off screen, that simple fact is enough to give me comfort. :)

Thats the moment for me when he stole Connery's crown as my Best Bond. The Intense look and boy does he look as cool as shit in a suit. Plus the wink to Fiennes Mallory was pure Bond.

  • The bar fight with Miss Bouvier when some thug tries to sneak up on him and Bond throws him a "back-handed" punch. I remember yelling "YYYEEESSS!" out loud in the theater. That same punch was reproduced in many movies, most notably in Batman.

Dalton interrogating Pushkin in the hotel room--quite possibly the best scene in the series. And I personally the love the PTS of DAD--Bond takes Van Beerk's identity like a pro and just gives him a toothy smile. Then, after his cover is busted, he blows up the suitcase, starts shooting up Moon's compound, and uses land mines as a distraction while the Bond theme plays. YYYYEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!

    Works for me. :)

I have several moments, the two latest being in Skyfall:
    1) Bond's race to save M, as mentioned by others above - it was thrilling and moving and so totally Bond.

    2) Also, just seeing him on top of the buildings, looking over the skyline of London (St. Paul's, etc.) I adore that shot. And it shows so much of who Bond is, in a simple and striking way.

Man, I hope Deakins gets many awards for this film.
  • I'd have to go with the water-skiing sequence in LTK. While I'm not a huge fan of Michael Kamen's overall score for the film the Bond theme works wonderfully here. Such a cool sequence - Bond is underwater, knocks away some drug dealers, attaches himself to the seaplane via a harpoon gun, and skis (without skis) across the ocean, grabs onto the plane and throws the pilots out. Doesn't get any cooler, folks!!!
