Recycling much? That really threw me.
Yeah, I thought I was going crazy. It stared off oh so great and then I was transported back to SF [-(
NOT AGAIN
NEWMAN!!
I thought it started relatively generically, but ok, then the choir (or was it a single vocal?) came in and I thought, 'Ooh that's neat', then Grand Bazaar came in and I thought they'd done a medley of some kind. I can only hope there is a narrative reason, of which I struggle to see, otherwise that is even worse than I would've expected.
That's what I'm hearing too. I liked it, but hope we hear better. That Donna Lucia track that was posted is decent though.
It has to be. Otherwise it's sheer laziness.
Or maybe its Newman's own version of a 007 action cue. A bit like John Barry's own 007 theme which appeared in FRWL and MR for example.
The track aired on radio was extremely generic, i only liked the female chorus and the Bond theme but i agree with @jake24 the ending was a carbon copy of Grand Bazaar.
The track "Donna Lucia" was better but again too similar to "Severine" from SF soundtrack.
I'm not saying it's all lost, but it's a false start for Newman.
In terms of seeing the track listing:
And pretty much exactly the same
