Now that I think about it, my professor did look a bit like Feeny, tweed jacket and all.
You are quite lucky, @delfloria. =D>
Yeah that's me Creasy47. I did get to meet him and get his autograph though. That's why I went with the amusing pic of me in the foreground. :)) The communication between staff was poor although the show was well organised. What happened was that the queue's were horrendous for photoshoot tickets. Will's was 40 mins away and after moving 5 yards in 30 mins we asked a staff member what could we do? He pointed to a separate desk that could assist us. We went over to be told your not an online booking or a refund so they could not help? So they lost out on money for sure.
There is a good chance of that my friend. The next show there is? We should try to arrange an MI6 get together? Would be great to meet fellow MI6ers in person! :-bd
Met Q at a Pinewood Christmas dinner way back in 1998! Only seems like yesterday though when i think of it!
A few years back I was serving as showrunner at an event where Miss Newmar was scheduled to make an appearance. It became my honor to assist the immortal actress during the course of this event. She was giving autographs at a table in the Main Exhibit Hall and was scheduled to address an audience in an auditorium elsewhere in the same facility. Miss Newmar declined to be seen walking in the hallways among the hoi polloi, preferring instead to simply appear in the auditorium as if by Hollywood magic. As there was a doorway marked “No Admittance Except by Authorized Personnel” near her autograph table, connecting with a warren of backstage passageways that led to the auditorium in question, this task was easily accomplished. However, the dedicated actress was wearing a costume of sorts for her public appearance, including dark sunglasses and boots with stiletto heels. At her advancing age (which we are of course too polite to consciously consider), the prospect of this female icon tottering through the dimly lit backstage hallways alone was simply unthinkable. Thus it came to pass that yours truly was honored to escort Miss Newmar through the hidden passage to her scheduled appearance. Half-blinded by her sunglasses in the poor light, stepping carefully in her impractical heels, Miss Newmar kept her hand clasped tightly to my forearm for those all-too-brief moments we were alone together backstage. When we reached the panel room, everything unfolded as if Miss Newmar had dictated the script herself. The members of the panel preceeding hers left the stage promptly when their scheduled time ended. Before anyone in the audience was even aware of her presence, Miss Newmar strode confidently to the stage, mounted the table behind which the other guests had been sitting, and reclined languorously upon it. She looked as if she belonged nowhere else, and had simply appeared there by (yep!) Hollywood magic. I kissed her hand in a courtly gesture, introduced her to the awe-stricken audience, and left the auditorium to the sounds of Miss Newmar cooing seductively into the microphone.
Sounds like a story or a dream, but yes, it's true. I may not be rich or famous, but sometimes I do feel that I've led a charmed life...
I'm sure he is. He's done a lot of great films aside from that, I just wish he got more work these days.

My brother played pool with Ewan Mcgreggor, i was supposed to be meeting up with my brother on that day though made other plans. Missed the chance to beat a Jedi at pool lol
Bruce Glover is a laugh and good fun if you ever get the chance to meet him in the future Creasy!
Now that I've interacted with a few people from the Bond films, I really want to meet one. Like I said, I saw some Q&A thing with Pierce Brosnan in Texas at some point this summer, I believe, but I couldn't find much information on it, and I wasn't sure if it was a meet-and-greet type of thing. If I met Pierce, my life would be complete.
Wow! I didn't know that! Just goes to show how cool the man is! :-bd
My first Countdown shows had Jimmy Carr as the special guest. It was around the time he was first gaining popularity but I confess I sat with him in the reception area for about 20 minutes when we first arrived at the same time and I had no idea who he was!
Do you have any video clips of your time on Countdown?
Good lord, @Tokoloshe! That's fantastic!
@Creasy, I wish I was tight with Pierce so that I could set up a meeting between you two. The look on your face alone would be well worth it.
I picture it happening like this:
Pierce [looking at Creasy's face]: "Is he having a stroke or something?"
Me: "No Pierce, he's just happy to see you."
Pierce: "Funny way of showing it, that."
Creasy: "Avyhbbjhftewgxdxy....biubtftydcxrxwasuigyvrubygb..."
;)
I actually told the girl that I'm with that if she ever found a way for me to meet Pierce for at least a few minutes to talk to him and shake his hand that I would marry her. No questions asked, as soon as I was comfortable in life and had the money, I would propose and marry that woman.
If such a happy event occurs, let us hope the nuptials go better than poor Bond's. I'd invest in a significantly bullet-proof mode of transportation if I were you. A tank, perhaps?
