The stool Brosnan is lying on when he's being given a good squeeze by Xenia in the jungle :(

That's what happens when you watch your favourite Bond film too many times.

Or the mat that Bond is laying on when he and Natalya slide down into the dish.

Wouldn't have noticed that one if I hadn't gone on bloody Youtube :(

When Bond and Tanner are walking through the underground tunnels in Skyfall, Tanner says something like "It not to bad, if it wasnt for the rats..."

He doesn't necessarily mean actual rats... ;)

Nice how little themes reoccur in SF...

    Severine in Skyfall.
Actress Bérénice Marlohe gives a killer performance at the casino. Maybe the best single performance of any Bond girl acting-wise in one scene?

I've never noticed how explicit the lyrics to "Make it Last All Night" are until listening to the song on YT.

    Make It Last All Night
    Music by Bill Conti
    Lyrics by Shelby Conti
    Performed by Rage

Try to hold it down and take it slow
    And just enjoy the motion
If you just relax and push it back
    There is no limitation.
Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it inside you?
Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it inside me too?
Try to keep it up and ease it in
    To get that good vibration
If you come to late you’ll have to wait
    To get that good sensation.
Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it moving smooth and slow?
Oooh, oooh, oooh ease on back and let the loving flow
Gotta take your time and level out
    It’s not an innovation
If you count to ten and back again
    It’s not just calculation
Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it inside you?
Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it inside me to?
Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it moving smooth and slow?
Oooh, oooh, oooh ease on back and let the loving flow
Easy baby, if I burn up there’s no need to feel so tight
Be loving, be gentle, be patient we make it last all night
Be loving, be gentle, be patient we make it last all night

    Nice and subtle ;-)

Also, it has just occurred to me that every time , EON and non-EON, that Sean Connery introduced himself with the classic, "My name is Bond...James Bond.", it is to a woman.

Along the same lines, I was reading a Roger Moore interview recently where he said that, in order to avoid comparisons with Connery, other people (usually women) ordered his vodka martini "shaken, not stirred" for him.

LOL. That was the late '70s/early '80s for you. It was also fortunate that they used the title Octopussy around that same time.

This was discussed a while back on another thread, but Tom So, who played Mr. Fukutu in CR, has a brother, Clem So, who appeared in SF at the floating dragon casino. He's actually a member of this forum.

Also, there appears to be another cameo from either of the two in Spectre (in the teaser trailer as Bond looks over at the Spectre meeting, we see the back of the head of a grey-haired man with a ponytail).

I meant how do you feel about Michael Wilson's many cameos?

Then you don't get Bond's excellent delivery of the line to Mr. White at the end of CASINO ROYALE, possibly my favorite.

Of course that was excellent, but I still feel that line is best/most impactful when delivered to a woman, and "My name is Bond....." rather than "The name's Bond....."....

MGW's cameos were better when they were brief and when he didn't speak. Hitchcock knew how to do it best.

That kind of cameo doesn't bug me. I'm talking about celebrity cameos that are basically shouting, "Let me interrupt your involvement in the film so that you can notice and look at me!"

Madonna is the perfect example of this. I'm actually surprised that the makers of DAF--of all Bond films--had the restraint to cut out Sammy Davis, Jr. Richard Branson, I believe, was quid pro quo for providing a plane for CR.

not sure if this has been mentioned before...

was watching FYEO tonight - and right after Bond leaves Bibi on the ski slopes, we cut to Locque getting into the backseat of a car and getting on a telephone.. well when the door closes and the car reverses, you can clearly see the camera, the cameraman, an assistant, and some sort of light rigging (i am guessing) in the reflection off the car window..

can't believe i didn't notice this one until now lol..

also in FYEO, Bond gets a ski pole shot out of his hand - leaving him with just one... while being chased, he puts his last pole up between two trees, clotheslining his pursuer.... a couple shots later, Bond has another ski pole magically back in his hand.

One time when I was watching the chair scene in TWINE, my mum was in the room and just at the "one...last...screw" moment she said "his neck is loose".

I suppose they aren't actually going to strangle him but it kind of ruined the moment.

In all fairness Minnie Driver was new to films, and this was probably her first significant role in films. So it wasn't really a cameo.
As for Madonna, she was probably grateful for a role in a movie that was a hit

    ;)

I like the Minnie Driver one. That was the first time I ever heard "Stand by Your Man" and I always think of Goldeneye when I hear people sing it (I know that shows my age).

I suppose the choice of song isn't exactly subtle.

As much as I love that fencing sequence (a true classic within the Bond franchise) Madonna was just wrong in it. But even she couldn't ruin the sequence thank God.

@Birdleson, I agree with you. She had already had her breakthrough with Circle of Friends. I take it her friendship with Alan Cumming from that film had something to do with GE.

Didn't they just hire her because there was no-one else capable of singing so far off key? She really does put in her best effort.

@NicNac , I disagree (that Minni Driver was unknown). I knew who she was from CIRCLE OF FRIENDS (and I rarely follow any celebrity that was big passed the '70s). She wasn't huge, but she was put there face first because she was recognizable. Maybe you saw it differently, but that was my initial reaction.

Yes you may be right. Never saw that. I knew her from a TV sitcom she was in, but always assumed that she took the GE role to get some international recognition.
