Me too, i can't wait till its release!
If only i had a PS5 in the first place... :(

Sad to hear, but it had been in decline for some time (even before 2020).
Scummy. Sega are becoming as bad as Bethesda. :(
Yeah, it's another new practice that is here to stay. It's soured me somewhat. That and I feel like they are dragging the series out longer than needs be. Kiryu's story ended with Yakuza 6, and I just don't care for Iciban as the new protagonist.
Naturally I am sorry for those now out of a job, but dammit, I was so looking forward to a new Deus Ex. This is exactly why there should be safeguards in place stopping companies from gobbling up studios.
As soon as those mergers and acquisitions from Microsoft happened, it was inevitable that thousands of employees would get canned. I'm sure those CEO bonuses will magically be a bit higher next time around too. How convenient and fair.
And I guess it's only a matter of time before Tomb Raider follows Deus Ex.
Sad but true. I just expect every series or developer to suffer or let me down eventually. There are no consistently good ones left.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I guess going on a landgrab of development studios, wasn't such a good idea after all.
Give it a decade max and Microsoft will be selling GamePass anywhere they can, moving out of the hardware game (for gaming, of course) and offering their remaining titles wherever possible. I already see rumors that the Gears of War titles and even the upcoming Indiana Jones game will be coming over to the PS5 too, along with Halo.
That is a sentiment that I am seeing a lot of. It happened with Sega, following the death of the Dreamcast. It wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft went the same way.
If they ported the State Of Decay series (especially the 2nd game) over to Playstation, now that would get my attention (I have no interest in the likes of Gears of War or Halo).
Ahh, never played the sequel but the first State of Decay felt like a hidden gem to me. It was so much fun.
Did it have a bad reveal? I don't remember. I bought an X Box One (which is where I knew of State Of Decay 2* from). It worked for a few days, until it started having issues, I got a replacement and it was fine. But I bought so few games for it... ultimately, I ended up selling it, and getting a PS5.
*There were a few bugs, but I found it a very addictive game once I had build up my merry band of survivors.
It was the time when I firmly decided to make a more permanent switch to the PlayStation after thinking the 360 era was the best for gaming I had experienced since my childhood.
I can't recall all the specifics but that was when they foolishly announced its "online only capabilities," meaning if you didn't have Internet (or, hell, even solid and reliable Internet), you likely weren't going to be able to access your games. They should've put all their resources into correcting that gigantic error and making it a console generation of unbelievable impressions but it's been pretty weak for them ever since.
Smart thinking on the PS5. I got me an Xbox Series X and really only touch it for older titles I can't play elsewhere. I put a few hours into Starfield and was terribly underwhelmed by it. Haven't touched it since a week or two after its release.
Oh yes, I remember that now. They had to quickly back peddle on that one. :))
I’m just happy that this means Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for PS5. Indy (like Star Wars) belongs on all gaming platforms.
@MaxCasino, you and I both! I think I even mentioned that in the Indy thread a few weeks back because I've been hearing those rumblings and rumors for a little while now.
I'm sure it was a multiplayer game. Beyond that, I don't remember. Maybe a sci fi game...?
Sea of Thieves? Though I thought that did pretty well on the Xbox.
I think it might have been Fallout 76. So much went wrong with that game, a low player base was the least worst thing about it..
Man, I really wanted that game to be better than it was. I occasionally debate returning to it to see how it's changed but I still haven't bothered.
I couldn't get in to to. I didn't like how guns were locked behind level caps, and I prefer a single player experience to MMORPGs.
I fear it's even worse now with the enemies scaling to your level, ensuring it'll be a rough time anywhere you go if you aren't part of a group. Even trying the final mission when I was level 50-something was impossible. I put too much work into it for nothing, deleted the game after, and haven't returned since and likely never will.
Elder Scrolls Online, on the other hand, was a lot of fun on release and I'd love to make a proper return to it. It's on sale for $5.99 now, I just worry the game will be so vastly changed at this point that it'll be like starting over and I won't know where to go or what to do.
I actually enjoyed that a lot more than Fallout 76. I bought the Morrorwind pack. Since I stopped, at least 1, possibly 2, more locations were added.
It has at least 12 or 15 full DLCs now. I'm sure they're all fairly pricy but the amount of content packed into even just the base game is pretty astounding and impressive.
