I also still need Battlefield 3.
@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, we can definitely fly that jet in-game, from what we have seen thus far. It looks like the pilot of the jet is the white guy that turns his head in the trailer released back in November.
Yes, he is likely the main protagonist, as he is also visible in the trailer again where a van pulls up to a shop and men with guns jump out. He is one of them.
I, too, hope that's only a bad rumor. I had enough of that trash while playing 'Mafia 2,' and it really took me out of the experience. Just couldn't have any cool car chases or get from Point A to Point B because I had to pump my brakes every ten seconds when a cop arrived.
It's meant to be short but I'm not near the end so I'm not sure. It is alot like GTA and Saints Row but I think the combat (hand to hand is a bit like Arkham City but more realistic and martial artsy), and driving are better than either of them and I love the Hong Kong setting.
The story is a bit of a generic undercover cop story, the guy gets too attatched, suddenly it's not all black and white, etc, but it's still good from what I've played. The whole thing does feel like a Kung Fu film, which is cool.
So yeah, I'd reccomend Sleeping Dogs, I think it's great. And Will Yun Lee (Moon from DAD), plays the main character.
I wasn't big on the GTA IV driving, I always ended up skidding and crashing when I tried to turn at high speeds. It did feel really loose and I wasn't a fan of that, I prefer the more arcade style.
And the cars in Sleeping Dogs are really, really fast. That's another reason I think the driving is better.
Great. Thanks so much for the short write up. I'll buy it soon then, it does sound very good. Just my type of game.

We can only hope. There's a difference between what we're seeing and what is possible. There were basketball courts in GTA IV, yet we couldn't play it. I just wouldn't see why they would show a screenshot of tennis in the 'Leisure' department of new screens, only for us not to be able to do it. Rockstar has already tackled table tennis, why not the real game?
Good point.
And most important of all: BRING BACK THE JETPACK!
More GTA V screenshots. Hopefully we'll see a new trailer or some gameplay soon.
David Bateson returns to play agent47 for the 5th time
I can't wait for 'Hitman: Absolution' to release. I have over half of my copy reserved and paid off.
Two questions: 1) Why did you say this twice? 2) Which characteristics do you mean?
Things I'd love to see in GTA5:
1) Level of interactivity. Liberty City in GTA4 was huge. There was, subsequently, nothing to do in it. There are so many wasted areas throughout that game, and its DLC, and so many things they could have put in there to allow us to pass the time. Bowling was crap, going drinking was decent but boring after awhile, the Assassin missions were stupid, the DLCs in general just added two-three hours onto the game that could have been spent adding things in the world to do.
2) I want all three cities from SA to return. Los Santos is cool, but if they add in San Fierro and Las Venturas, it'll be a thousand times better. There's only so much you can do in the surrounding countryside.
3) Please, give us a character who is more along the lines of Claude, Tommy or Tony, who is willing to do what needs to be done. Carl was okay, but he had too much family baggage; Vic was just a friggin' hypocrite; Nico was cool, but he was halfway between Vic and Carl, family baggage and he did all he could to get into crime despite his firm moral standards; Johnny was decent, but he wasn't a strong character; and then Luis was just... they did all they could to set him up as this cool badass in the opening cutscene and first few levels, but he ended up being a whiny a-hole. Claude, Tommy and Tony actually worked hard for what they got at the end of their games.
Did i said twice? Wow i didn't even see that, honestly. Actually i have a bad memory, but anyways. The characteristics i mean, are the whole exploration avaliable in the world, the physic customization (fat, strong, thin), the CARS customization Mainly, the clothing, objects throughout the world that you could use or activate (like a soda or food machines), the submissions, girlfriends...
That's what i meant.
Tommy was the best. He knew he was an evil asshole and he was proud of it, that's what I liked about him.
Nico was cool, but he kept banging on about morals and everything while running around being a criminal, I liked Roman better. Claude never spoke, can't remember the GTA 1 and 2 guys at all. CJ was pretty cool.
They definetly need to bring back customisation and a bunch of other stuff. Bring back the humour, but don't go too OTT with it because they won't be able to top Saints Row at that.
Saints Row's amazing. Mainly the last one. I've been playing it frequently, the weapons are unpayable.
I believe GTA 1 and 2 were Claude too, because i remember the Police radio saying in a bad quality '...a suspect named claude speed...' or something like that. They didn't speak at all too, they were just farting and burping, so it makes more sense.
As Vice City isn't my style, i never played it. GTA3 i had it on my old PC, but i never finished it, barely got to the 2nd mission.
me too. i remember making the code for 1,000,000 and just tunning up my car.
Take notes Ubisoft Toronto!!! >:P
