Watch Dogs is fast becoming one of my most anticipated games.

I hope 'Assassin's Creed 4' ends up better than its predecessor. I was none too crazy about the "third" installment.

The Tomb Raider game is releasing soon? Hadn't noticed.

Interesting specs for the PS4.......I am assuming then that the Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes demo/video on the Fox Engine was using this system.

Hideo Kojima already stated that the Ground Zeroes video was running on a PC with PS3 specs, and that Ground Zeroes will be on the PS3/360/PC. I'm wondering a little more about The Phantom Pain.

That's news to me, and I am fine with that. Especially since that means I won't have to dish out money for a new system to play the game.

  • Tomb Raider in just over a week. Three weeks after that, BioShock Infinite comes out. When I finally play that, I've been waiting so long I'll either be crying tears of joy that it's good or tears of disappointment if it sucks. So, I'll pretty much be reduced to a blubbering child on March 26th no matter what.

I know. I wasn't aware it was so close to release, until I saw an advert on tv a few minutes before posting the video. It feels like only a few days ago that it was months away from being released.

@MajorDSmythe, that's how I felt: it was just yesterday that the game was months and months from release, and now, here we are.

They need to keep the cinematic moments, the combat and the improved parkour from the last one but then have a better protaganist and a better setting.

I'd have been happy if they'd just carried on making games starring Ezio.

@thelivingroyale, I agree. I loathed the setting, and I think that's what made the game so monotonous and dull for me, alongside the character of Connor. Other than that, it's like 'Hitman: Absolution': better graphics and features, they just didn't do so hot on the setting and story.
  • I think it's not the same as Hitman because everything the series is known for is still there.

I haven't played Absolution but it seems like it took away lots of the exploration and freedom the series is known for.

I've just started Assassin's Creed III and two of the twelve chapters in and I'm still not the assassin. What the hell?! I've all for a slow game as long as it picks up.

I'll let you know what I make it of as it goes on.

For those not liking Assassin's Creed III, was it because there was a lack of parkour (low buildings in abundance)? I haven't played them, but that is a common complaint I hear.

Hope you enjoy not playing as the assassin for quite some time, then. It takes forever, sadly.

You're joking? Don't tell me when you do begin, but the third sequence is in the snow, right? That's where I'm up to.

As long as there's a pay off, or some reason for it, I'll be OK.

A different direction is all well and good but this could turn out to be a misstep as many have already said.

@Samuel001 Not sure if it counts as a reason but there is a pay off to all the build up that really surprised me when I played it.

The boat section after the opera was the worst bit. Pointless and only slows the game down.

You start playing as Connor soon but there's a long training bit. You don't get all the gear for quite a while.

Enjoy the bit you're on while it lasts though because Haytham is a much better character than Connor.

That was one reason. The buildings were extremely low and there weren't enough trees to come parkour runs going for long. They had all these great new parkour animations and you could barely ever see them.

I did enjoy it though. The last few story missions were absoloutely brilliant and I liked the combat.

It sound evens worse now! I'll play sequence three and four tonight and hope for the best. Should be completed by the weekend.

It does pick up towards the end so try and stick with it, although the middle section where you're training, etc, will bore you to tears.

IGN have delivered their review for Tomb Raider:

    http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/02/25/tomb-raider-review-2
    9.1/10

After reading that review, I am now more excited for this, than I was for other recent big games (Far Cry 3 & Hitman Absolution both spring to mind).

Great news for Tomb Raider! That and Bioshock and maybe God Of War should be the best games of the Spring and maybe all that's worth buying until GTA V. Hopefully something else crops up to.

Well the boat missions were the best bit of AC 3 so in a way this sounds brilliant.

But it also leaves very little room for parkour and cool buildings, which makes me skeptical if it does turn out to be true.

I'll buy it no matter what though, I love the series and since overall the quality has been excellent, I think I can risk £40 on this one.

@thelivingroyale, I, too, thought Haytham was a much better character, so I was very upset when I switched to the lesser-enjoyed Connor.

I decided that, with this massive backlog of games of mine, I won't possibly get to all of them before the new consoles come out. So, I traded in close to ten or fifteen old games I had a slim chance of playing, and picked up the brand new map pack for 'Halo 4,' alongside 'Crysis 3' tonight. Also renewed my PowerUp Rewards membership at GameStop. Should be a fun, upcoming weekend: 'Crysis 3' during the day, with some 'Dead Space 3' at night.

Like I said, the boat battles were the best bit of AC 3 so it should be great but it doesn't leave much room for parkour.

Still, the setting intrests me much more than AC 3's did and the whole game features an English assassin <:-P

Looks good, better than the 'half and half' game we got with number 3. It's almost like a precursor to a proper third game.

That's how I'm looking at it. Interested to see how it turns out.

    Nice!

On sequence 8 now and I'm in prison, I've lost the 'gear of the Assassin' Connor had. Should get it done over the weedend, hopefully the best is yet to come.

Trailer was meant to be out monday but it leaked. I'd watch it quickly because apparently quite a few versions have been taken down.

Now the trailers for these games always look cool but this really does seem great. The new guy seems badass too.

That bit at the end was pure badass.
