Where do these fantasies keep coming from?
Exactly. Behind closed doors. They're doing that at the moment.

Okay then, must have missed that. Thanks.
In other news here's Calvin's thoughts on recent developments:
In your opinion, what would leave those fans in the cold?
Whilst each actor has brought something different to the role, they have all played their interpretation of James Bond. Whether fans and audiences alike have enjoyed their turn is an ever going debate.
If EON stray to far from the character, then what’s the point in naming the character James Bond.
He has to retain some of the characteristics that Fleming gave Bond.
As with @CrabKey what do you propose as being new, or leaving fans out in the cold?
Obsession for a Madeleine is Vertigo. Compared with Jimmy Stewart, Safin's Madeleine was a schoolboy crush. The way the role is played, I don't feel the passion or the obsession with her or his plot. A lackluster Blofeld and underwhelming Safin made for a disappointing combo.
We won't know until it happens, which I hope it doesn't.
Yeah. I'll take this as well. Also, it's such a let down that a Bond film where Bond eventually dies, there's no suspense at all. Because the villains are really disappointing.
Purvis & Wade have been writing for 25 years now, I think new blood is needed.
A real shake up of the character is likely based on Barbara Broccoli's comments. But how far are EON prepared to go. A black Bond, a gay or bisexual Bond?
A return to the ott films of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s?
A thriller with less action and an engaging story and characters, or full on action with huge spectacle?
It’s a tough one.
As for how they’ll ’reinvent’ Bond, I think it’ll be in ways we won’t even think of. I don’t think we’ll see a bisexual Bond (as in Bond the character is bisexual) or a strict return to the tone of previous films. A black Bond is possible, but that’s not in itself a major shake up. When they say reinvent the character I think it’s more in how this version of Bond stands out from his predecessors (while fundamentally being James Bond, if that makes sense). It’s more in stuff like the harder, more brutish edge of Craig’s Bond, the more broody Fleming-esque portrayal of Dalton, Moore’s more gentlemanly (albeit in a pastiche type way) version of the character etc. Then there’s of course what the film itself is going to do itself. For them it’s about creating a Bond movie - set in contemporary times as has always been the case - and making all these tropes and stories fresh.
A gay actor is different from Bond being gay
