Have Bond get with Camille at the end.
Remove Elvis as a henchman. He's completely useless.
Have someone else sing the title theme (other than that I love it)
He's good at having his wig fall off and his pants blown off.
As for Bond and Camille, another user stated a few days ago that the way they saw it, Bond and Camille kissed because they had a connection bound by revenge, not by lust. Sure, in a totally different experience, they could have been lovers and I'm sure Bond would have had her in bed, but they both wanted something incredibly bad, and nothing was going to stop it. It was more of a "thanks" kiss to me.
Nice to see someone that has DAD ranked as their number one Bond film. That's rare around these parts.
Possibly. It looked like it was Bond who leaned in for it though (obviously :P) and she had that awkward smile on her face before getting out of the car. Perhaps they'll cross paths again, who knows if they ever decide to pick up the Quantum thread again?
Anyway to keep on topic, after more thought I'd say just remove Elvis from QoS.
SF: Give Severine more screen time. And maybe
Agree.
I agree about TB but I'd go further. For one I re-edit most of the film. It is clear in certain areas that there were meant to be other scenes, like one in which Bond and Leiter are in a boat driving away from the DIsco. The scene clearly implies they had just been aboard for a visit, much like the book. Further I would add the "Treasure Hunt" ruse from the book back into the movie, at least in a couple of lines, to make the whole situation more plausible and keep Bond guessing. At the meeting of the SPECTRE agents, I would put Blofeld at the table with them and use rear head shots and long shots to keep his identity hidden. I would also trim the underwater scenes. As great as they may have looked in 1965, they seem to weigh the movie down.
Finally, and this is the number 1 fix, I would re-edit the scene where Bond and Leiter meet and Bond outs one of Largo's goons in the bathtub. Based on the clothes each character is wearing, this scene looks like it should come after Bond and Domino first meet, and would thus give some credibility to Bond and Felix recognizing each other at the Casino, even if they don't talk.
Completely agree with all that, just wish there had been more. At least from the little we saw she was memorable.
1.) Directly mention Tracy a couple times. M's line about "plain, solid work" isn't enough.
That's about all I can think of actually. I love the film too much to pick on it.
Not to mention that Bond promised to help her. It's the one moment in the film that stuck in the throat. The other Bonds...

For Diamonds are Forever I would have insisted that Sean report in shape and groomed.
Just change the damn theme song. Ugh. The song would have maybe suited a campy Moore film, but not for a serious entry like this. I would have liked one of the songs by The Pretenders to have been used instead.
In my opinion, there's already 3 action set pieces in CR, another would just be overkill.
Klebb in Venice cpuld be little more vicious, or intense, or something? Always makes me laugh; a little old lady with a pointy shoe trying to kick Bond to death.
The ones I'd include would be: 1) When Grant reveals the roll of film to Bond, his comment of "What a performance" has been removed - I'd reinstate this. 2) The famous fight between Grant and Bond has been cut to reduce the length of Grant's death by strangulation. The BBFC initially objected to the length and brutality of the whole sequence, but editor Peter Hunt convinced them to leave it intact, accepting only minor cuts to the final strangulation. - I'd show the whole thing intact.
3) Klebb's death has been shorted, reducing the sight of her protracted suffering, and her death cries have been partially muted on the soundtrack - again... stick it back in. 4) Bond's remark to Tania of "What a performance" has been cut at the very end of the film, resulting in a particularly bad jump-cut on the print, which affects the soundtrack particularly badly - another good reason to reinstate the earlier comment between Grant and Bond.
@bondsum, I wasn't aware of the trimming of Grant's strangulation. I, too, would keep the full scene intact. Would be great.
Make Renard more threatening in TWINE and change the casino fight in SF (felt really jarring, would've fit in well in a Moore film but not in this one).
Agree with you about Felix in TLD. He looks like a member of a New Wave Boy Band with his two CIA lady accomplices as backup dancers.
GE saw the return of comic book Bond after 8 years of the Daltonator, so I guess we'll have to leave it as it is just to show the audience that Pierce is not Tim, and he can never be Tim. No one else can be Tim, just like how no Bond actor can fully emulate the others.
One thing that made Renard fall short of being a classic Bond villain is his lack of emotions. He feels no pain, but I'm pretty sure he can belt out some emotions too.
Skyfall's casino fight would be a lot cooler if it featured a more intense fist fighting ("Krav Maga, Kali and Jiu-Jitsu, 00-Agent, do you know it?!"), like the staircase fight in Casino Royale, and indeed, the fight against Slate in QoS. I'd like to retain Craig counting the thugs and his line to the big Chinese guy. It belongs in Skyfall because it's not just a Daniel Craig film; it's a James Bond film, and it mixed together the good elements that the six actors have contributed. The humor is obviously Roger Moore's, and I like it to be as it is.
I felt that Renard had the same treatment as Bane in TDKR in the sense that you thought he was the major villain and then right at the end you see that they were just a puppet of the villain lady. Even with the mask on it was clear that Bane had feelings for Miranda / Talia Al'Ghul, same as Renard in that last shot when he was about to die...
That was part of the surprise. You think you're getting a car chase but you see a car crash. Similar to what happened to the BMW on the caviar dock in TWINE.
