Hello, I'm new here. I became a James Bond fan back in 2002. From Russia Love was the first James Bond film that I seen and it is still my favorite Bond film. Sean Connery is my favorite James Bond actor.
    Welcome aboard!

New italian recruit here. Huge Bond fan since Die Another Day, I've read this forum for a while and finally convinced myself to join in. Can't wait to see SPECTRE in the theatre, it's been a long time (eh eh)..

Oops, didn't realize that there was a thread dedicated to introductions of new members...I will copy/paste my intro in the thread I created. Sorry everyone.

Just thought I would take the time to say hi, er, howdy rather (local dialect).

I have fond memories of my grandfather and I watching Bond films when I was much younger. I've been a fan ever since. I really can't say the first Bond film it was that I saw, I just remember watching, being amazed, and wishing to grow up and live the same life. I've recently discovered this place, have read through a bit and had to register to share something in another thread just a minute ago.

About me: I'm a father of three, 2 year old twin boys, daughter be 4 in a couple months. Met my wife during University. Obtained a degree in Art and my job has nothing to do with my degree. I have many interests, most completely random and all unrelated to the next. I would love to see the world (well, mostly Europe) but fear I may never get the chance...so for the time being I am stuck here in Texas, born and raised.

More or less new. LALD was my first Bond film at age 12. Devoured the Fleming books and, as they appeared on TV, the Connery films before TMWTGG was released. Been hooked every since. My favorite Bond films include (in no particular order) Casino Royale, OHMSS, GOLDFINGER and TSWLM. During the 50 anniversary of the series, I was fortunate enough to see all of the Bond films (including the Connery and Lazenby entries) on the big screen at the Egyptian Theater here in LA. (I live in LA.) Found Bassey's GOLDFINGER song chilling in the theater ... and then the audience went nuts as she finished. Goosebumps! I am a writer and am hoping to add indie filmmaker to my resume in the next few years. Really looking forward to SPECTRE this fall.

    Hello Everyone,

I've been a JB fan for as long as I can remember, first with the movies and more recently the books. I'm a former member of the JBIFC since the early 2000s, but fell out of touch with the club the last few years only to find it's a shell of it's former self...sadly.

When I was kid I had what I thought was the coolest toy in the universe: James Bond's attache case with hidden dagger and gold bouillon coins included with all the other gadgets. I think it was actually my brother's, but I use to steal it so much, he finally gave up the fight over it. I'm still looking for the same attache case on auction websites to I can have it again. I don't have the collection that I see a lot of you do. I'd be happy with my attache case, a Spectre signet ring and a Golden Gun replica. Other than that I just like to talk about all things JB.

I'm looking forward to being apart of this community and reading everyone's posts.

    Cin Cin!

I'm guessing this can cover goings as well as comings. Sadly some of the political opinions expressed here, really aren't mine ( I regard Putin as an anti democratic
Dictator and war monger, while others like and respect him) so before, I'm branded a troll etc, I'll get my coat and head home. I guess I must be an old Hippy. ;)

I don't think you'd find one person here who genuinely likes Putin, considering there is virtually nothing about him to like. A silly thing to leave over, says I. You've proven to be both an insightful and comical commenter in equal respects @DrGorner, so I for one would be sad to see you go. Any chance you'll reconsider your decision?

  • Still a new member. Had a back log in G Section with a faulty radiation shield or three.
Happy to be back, but looks like a few weeks away can really throw you out. Elimination games change. SPECTRE news is going to be hard to see what I've missed and so many new topics I'm at a loss as where to start.

Welcome back, Mr Hergesheimer. What exactly does G-section stand for? Is it the girls?

Hello there. New to the community.

I've been a fan of James Bond for as long as I can remember; ever since I first saw Moonraker on the tv back in the 80's. After reading Mark O'Connell's "Catching Bullets....." book, i found it amazing how much his love of James Bond mirrors mine in parts. As for the fiction side, I'll be honest I've not read many but that is something I aim to change.

Hopefully I can contribute to the community and I look forward to chatting with some of you in the future.

    Cheers
