How so? Seems to me people are just giving opinions and not trying to rationalize anything, They see what they see.

I think he looks more distinguished, that's all. He's not by any means 'too old' looking. He just looks a tad different from when he started. But the same can be said for all the Bonds
Which is why I said he was in a few films too many and commented that he still looked good at 50 and I believe he was 52 when he did Moonraker and he still looked great then.
Well... This is just my opinion, but DC looked too old when he got the job. He started out looking ten-fifteen years older than the 'rookie' he was supposed to be and has just gotten more so. I could not care less about the color of his hair (be nice if he had some tho) or even his height, it's that ancient craggy misshapen weather-beaten ex-boxer mug of his I can never ever get used to. People like to make it into a positive somehow by saying he's no "pretty boy". Oh please. I don't want to go round and round with the eternal argument, but Bond should be handsome and suave and charming. Each of those descriptors are what make him Bond and not 'every other action hero that ever lived'. He's obviously in good physical condition and can fight, but then Jason Statham should be the next Bond. Even in a nice suit, he still looks like a soccer hooligan to me. Even as his performances are relaxing a tad and becoming more Bondian, I still have trouble seeing in him that 'ease' and class that drew me to the character as a kid... And yeah, unfortunately, looks play a part in acting, so I think it's a perfectly valid criticism.
If they rebooted Indiana Jones with Zach Galifinakis, would someone who thought that was crazy be a "hater"?? I have nothing personal against DC, I'm just still in utter shock over his casting to be honest. But he's the guy now, I know, and I'm just hoping SF will win me over despite all that - which QOS did to some degree. I'm a Bond fan, what can I do?
But I can't sit here and say anything positive about his looks/aging, cuz I think he's fugly.
And please, Connery on his worst fattest baldest middle-aged day was better looking than DC on his very best and had more charisma in his little finger, etc.
Moore was a marvel up to OP...Lazenby wasn't around long enough...Brosnan was pretty perfect except maybe for heft and muscle and aged suddenly in DAD (ever notice how different he looks in each of his four films?)...and Dalton just never seemed physically right for the character either, there was something inherently awkward about him, but also wasn't around long enough to age.
Sorry for the long post. It's only repeating what I've said before and really didn't need to be said again. I apologize for my bad attitude. :(
The entirety of what I should have posted: "Yeah, I think he's aged".
Onward.
It depends. Look at Liam Neeson. However, for me, I think Bond needs to be no older than early 50's. But I would give Craig a couple of years into it if he stays in shape and still brings vitality to the role.
Liam is an exception because IMO he was kind of odd looking when he was young
Funniest pic on the whole internet right here:
Craig on the other hand has looked more or less the same for the last 10 years.
Brosnan seemed to have a significant age increase when he jumped to DAD, and while Craig isn't looking too much different in the four year jump from QoS to SF, who knows when it will hit him. I say if he still looks the part and can still handle the physicality it takes, let him keep going into Bond 25 or 26.
I'm glad he managed to make it through that and has a pretty loyal fan base now, even though the haters will always be scattered. They're everywhere, looking to hate on any and everything.
Totally agree. I think he can do at least another 2 movies provided he doesn't show too much signs of aging and not look as bad as Roger Moore did in AVTAK. Brosnan still looked good in DAD even though wrinkles were more visible on his face and I could've sworn I saw a dash of grey in his hair too in the movie..hahaha..
