2-I have to agree, Stacey Sutton in her bathrobe

Further to my own, I'd add a couple of honourable mentions to Zorin's killing of his own employees and Fiona Fullerton in the tub ;)

Must I really? Okay, it comes down to music mostly:

    - Bond deviates from the race track and takes the horse into the woods. Great musical moment and exciting photography and editing.

    - Stacey drives home from her job on a sunny Frisco afternoon. I love the music and, well, I have the hots for Stacey. I really - really do.

    - Bond and Stacey in the shower. It give us, men, (especially @Thunderfinger) hope.

The film really has many good moments. Most people seem to prefer the PTS. Never thought this to be a very good one, mainly because of the GG-Song.

    1. Zorin gunning down his workers and laughing maniacly.
    2. Fight on the golden gate bridge
    3. Roger's flirtations with Zorin when he's shopping for speed and stamina in his "stallion".

I love that sequence, probably because of the great score.

Good to hear!! Too many shepherds lead the fan sheep when it comes to our favourite franchises. A VIEW TO A KILL was this fan's proper entry point into Bond and whilst maybe Roger is a bit old [er} the real life locations, score, title song, villain, hench bitch, branding, stunt work, pace and swagger is top notch Bond.

Though one element does vex this fan.... WHO carries a three tier wedding cake through a dance floor at a wedding on a boat?!

This may have been a thing that once happened in San Francisco for this Bond fan....

So what are your favourite scenes in the movie??
Great video btw. However, we will never know if Max Zorin is really dead. I mean the bridge in Skyfall was almost as high as the GG-Bridge and Bond survived it somehow.

    1. The city hall scene before the fire. I really love the chemistry between Roger & Walken. Walken really shines here and just shows the entrie audience why he is gold at playing villains.
    2. Zorin massacring is mine workers. Once again it just shows how awesome Walken is at playing Psycho villains.
    3. Golden Gate fight.
I really love the ending scene right here. The set of the bridge was amazing. The fight scene was pretty good. What topped the whole thing off was Walkens laugh at the end right before he falls to his death.

As you can see all my top 3 scenes are very Walken heavy. IMO Walken made this movie as the villain. Just A+ casting right there.

@CatchingBullets, amazing video, sir. I did see it before but it remains good. :-)

    1. Mine massacre (particularly Zorin killing his workers).
    2. Bond and Tibbett together at the chateau. It seemed like they had lots of fun together working on that scene.
    3. Golden Gate Bridge finale (especially "more powah!" :) )

    1. Zorin's laugh before his fall. Great villain death. Maaaaaaaax
    2. PTS - minus Gidea Park
    3. Horse riding - great music as Inferno bolts

    1. The party scene. Probably not one of the more interesting scenes in the movie, but I find the acting throughout the scene to be top-notch. All the actors are in perfect form and play off each other wonderfully.

    2. The horse race. I'm not a fan of the excessive equine references, but the steeplechase was a nice action scene ending with Sir Godfrey's death (another great sequence).

    3. The Golden Gate fight. It's amazing stuntwork and I like Zorin's strange laugh before he dies, but for some reason it's just not as tense or heart-stopping as some of the other finales like Octopussy and The Living Daylights.

The mine massacre/Mayday's death, along with Bond chasing Mayday up the Eiffel tower and the PTS are honorable mentions.
  • 1. Golden Gate Fight - Thrilling, almost indisputably the best and most memorable part of the film, although I thought Zorin's death was strangely anticlimactic, which was a shame. But scored very well by Barry.
    2. Elevator - Was good, but could Sutton please stop screaming?
    3. Fire Truck Chase - Follows what I think is the funniest 'Bond, James Bond' ever. People may hate the chase, but I thought it was actually well-conceived and original. Only gripes I have are that the part where the fire truck leaps over the edge isn't shot well and the police officer is almost as bad as JW. Oh well.

So as you can see, for even the best things about AVTAK there are some bad points.

And can someone please tell me why everyone loves the PTS? It is a very messy sequence and is just an inferior rip-off of TSWLM. The Steeplechase too I thought was very unexciting and contrived.

    2. Bond and Tibbett together
    3. "Anyone else want to drop out?"

1.) The party at Zorin's with guest James St. John Smythe :)

2.) Tibbett and Bond's back and forth as they are being shown their room. "Let me help you Tibbett" *Bond takes only umbrella*

3.) Bond and Mayday working together to remove the bomb from harms way.

    1. Golden Gate finale
    2. Bond and Tibett's arrival at the chateau, I always laugh at the bit where Bond takes the umbrella "to help" unpacking :))
    3. I know there is the Beach Boys song but I love the PTS

I always dismayed at them turning Mayday to the good side at the end! They should have followed GF finale when Oddjob remained loyal to Goldfinger and tried to stop Bond from disarming the bomb. I felt AVTAK would have gained added tension if Mayday tried to stop Bond getting rid of the bomb instead of helping him!

Grace Jones was an inspired choice. Shes not a great actress, but she has huge screen presence! They were never going to get much depth from her. I just think that sequence where she and Bond get the bomb out would have benefitted greatly if Jones was trying to stop 007 rather than help him!

No offense to Sir Rog, but I don't see how he could have defeated May Day if she had stayed loyal to Zorin. And I certainly don't want to see a fist fight between a 57 years old Moore and Grace Jones.
Well ,I wasn't talking about a fist fight!! But somehow if Bond outwitted her and strapped her to the bomb before it rolled out or something, similar to Bond and Stamper at TND ending. As it is, its just dull, there is no tension or suspense!

The bit where Zorin sees Mayday come out of the tunnel and she looks up at him before she dies is a great moment I think. I'm not a big fan of AVTAK these days but I do like that scene.

I love the Avengers nod when Bond takes the umbrella. :)
