Is 30 min. of film without exception too long to consider one scene?

1- Wai Lin one woman show vs numerous thugs
2- Dr Kaufmann (proves how weak this movie is if Dr Kaufmann stands has the second best sequence)
3-Bond vs 4 or 5 of Carver's goons in the studio ( even though we actually don't see the fight)

Seems a bit long yes, which segment do you have in mind?

    1. PTS. The best in the series.
    2. Car chase.
    3. The ending. The whole darn thing, from "You've got to give the people what they want," to everything with the missile. My favorite film in the series, and my favorite film period.

    2. Helicopter vs. Motorcycle chase
    3. Jonathan Pryce's monologue that builds with his own self-gratified orgasmic intensity:
"Gentlemen, and Ladies, hold the presses! This just in! By curious quirk of fate, we have the *perfect* story with which to launch our satellite news network tonight. It seems a small crisis is brewing in the South China Sea! I want full newspaper coverage,I want magazine stories, I want *books*, I want *films*, I want T-V, I want *radio*, I want us on the air 24 HOURS A DAY! *THIS* IS *OUR* MOMENT!!! And a billion people around this planet will watch it, hear it, and read about it...from the *Carver* Media Group! There's no news....like (eyebrow arch) *bad* news."

Again difficult since its so poor. Has to be
    1) Kleinmans titles again
    2) Dr. Kaufman. Vincent Schiavelli steals the film, which is a poor reflection on everything else.
    3) The Halo Jump. the only cool action moment.
TND suffers from poor story which is padded out with wayyyyyyyy too long action sequences, which are simply boring.
I always have a problem with that scene some mention, Bond waiting in his room drinking. He's expecting one of Carvers goons to follow up and attack him, yet he starts drinking straight vodka?? Hardly the act of a professional!

I know many of you love the car chase in the garage scene, but to me that is the downfall of the film. Being really into Fleming, where Bond likes old things, is averse to technological progress and drives old cars (he likes to feel the road), I don't care for the gimmicky vehicless, particularly when he's not actually driving them. Even in my favorite, GOLDFINGER, I would have preferred the DB5 was sans gadgets.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm extremely excited to see what others like about this week's film.

@M_Balje I love the fast pace in this one what with Bond only having 48 hr. to investigate and whatnot. I really like a lot of the dialogue in this one as well. The PTS is very tense and there's just a sense of urgency to it all that I really enjoy. It's in my top 10 as well.

"My friend, bring me one as well. Keep the fruit."

TND is #4 for me, but at alternate times it's been in 1, 2, and 3.
