...everybody left pumped btw.
And I love it. Great film. Great fun. I had a blast, I never wanted it to end.
I just wish we could have seen
P.S. I wish I had seen the movie in IMAX because of the pre titles sequence. The helicopter fight would've been even more amazing.
Quick takes:
- OUTSTANDING PTS and main titles.
- Craig as Bond is as cool as ever.
- Walked out of the theater highly anticipating my second viewing, this time in IMAX.
- Extremely fun, action pieces were great, some surprises and humor hit it home
- supporting cast came through big as well
- not exactly a 'finale', rather two smaller ones. I found myself thinking 'man, this could end right now' a few times near the end
- Waltz was good. Hope he's back again. He'll, I may hear about this one, but I want Mendes/Craig back.
- felt a bit fast paced and near let up
This is the Bond you know and the Bond of Craig coming together and making one hell of an entertaining piece. Naturally I walked out thinking it was fantastic and my #1 Bond film. Realistically I need another viewing but this was in my opinion a top 6 Bond film.
8.3/10.
Also, Newman let me down again :(
Different than CR so I can't say which I like better. Certainly more smiles with SP.
This is not a 61% RT film and enjoyed way more than MI. And despite length it never dragged.
What a ride. Welcome back James.
And don't shoot me. I liked the score.
I've been on a high for over a week now and can't get enough of watching it. It gets better and better every viewing
My audience was lame too. Like they didn't know who the heck anyone was.
Same here! I was one of the only people clapping at the end and
EoN & co. have successfully delivered a 007 caper that blends the grit & austerity of the early Craig era with the elements that brought the 'funfactor' of the Moore-era.
This what I find fascinating from going through the reviews. Some of the very same people who have criticized SF for massive plot holes are singing the praises of SP, even though, from what I have read, it also has convenient contrivances & shoddy retcons. I have always said that SF was so good in other areas that its acknowledged plot holes were irrelevant.
Goes to show that how we absorb a film is very personal and somewhat illogical. That's the beauty of art I guess.
Today I finally get to see what all the fuss is about.
