Happy Birthday!
This is for a number of reasons. First, life is getting more hectic and having to do this post everyday is added 'stress', if you can see it that way, that I could do without.
I was going to pass the Calendar on to someone else at the end of the year if they wanted it, as it was but have felt recently it really had to be now, so I'm sorry about the timing and apologise if you were one who enjoyed this feature.
Lack of interest or what at least appears as lack of interest is another reason. I can understand maybe wanting to know who's birthday it is but I can see commenting on it all the time saying "Happy Birthday!" is pretty pointless. This brings me onto the fact that all this means for me is an increased post count, something is know is frowned upon.
Afterall anyone wishing to view a particular birthday can use the find feature on the first page and look for them there.
If someone wants to continue it, please do and just remember: make it your own. Because doing do will certainly deepen your connections to the forum so you'll need a good reason to be on here at least one a day! I don't see the point personally for the reasons already mentioned, at least at the moment.
If no one does then I'll try and proceed by only posting the really big birthdays - be that the actor/actress' role in the series or the age of that particular person, which may be the better way to go if the idea of a part-time feature is appealing to people and brings more interest. At the moment it feels worn out.
For example, we have three big dates coming up. One in this month and two in the next couple that'd I'd never want to miss.
Let me know your thoughts and thanks for reading.
Probably no coincidence that you posted this right after writing up Halle Berry's birthday. :-))
I may well do big birthdays only, I'll see what some others think first.
Ha, and no this has nothing to do with Halle. Or does it? ;-)
As said, Connery's is up next! :-D
