Only because SF does what it set out to do far better than SP does what it set out to do. The tables could have easily been reversed with better execution on the latter's part. First half of SP is excellent.

That's exactly why. It's the first time in a long while we've had a director do back-to-back Bond films, so it's inevitable that they'll both be compared.

Given that this site is full of SF contrarians (who hate SF just to hate it), the result isn't surprising. The rest of the world knows SF is by far the better film. :P
