The only bits in TLD I don't like are "...'ere 'old on your dead" and the last few seconds on the boat.

To be fair, that was stuntman Paul Weston, probably should have used an actor. i like the end bit on the boat, and Dalton plays it really well, "she'll call you back!"

I'm not too wild on it. "she'll call you back" is ok but I'm not convinced by the "better make that two" line. Too cheesy.

Until the final line, which he cocks up.
  • Love Casino Royale, OHMSS, Thunderball and Quantum of Solace (That car chase!)

What a disappointment the Bilbao sequence is in TWINE, and the stuff on the Themes is outright silly.

The way he says "thaT two" with emphasis on the T is an example of his staginess.

    23. TWINE

Of course, there's no PTS in DN.... My favorite is easily CR - B&W photography, atmosphere, brutality and touch of humor; beautifully done. My least favorite is a close call between TND and TWINE. TND features one convenient and physics-bending moment after another but TWINE might take the cake. The boat chase is fun enough but the whole thing is severely bloated and features easily one of Brosnan's worst moments as Bond as he runs screaming down the hall.

Ha, I remember you disliking it. I can't say i'm very fond of it either. Connery pulls off a similar line far better in FRWL.

I wasn't convinced by him here either. Pretty bad delivery of everything in my eyes, including the all important Bond, James Bond. Disappointing.

Can't stand this entire pretitles due to the poor overacting on display. A sign of things to come in the actual film.

The "stoop" shout doesn't bother me to be honest and I've seen far worse performance-wise from Brosnan (that crying scene in The Greatest for example as well as several moments also in TWINE).

Please don't remind me! I'm still trying to get over that sequence, which I had the misfortune of watching yesterday.

Brosnan's "MOVE! MOVE!" is Craig's "COME ON!" and I love both of them. To each their own.

Horrendous. Almost as bad as that awful tree fight sequence which you posted a year or so ago.

Bloody 'ell! I realize times must be tough but this is getting embarrassing. The Foreigner can't come soon enough to enable much needed redemption. That damn thing has been on ice for a while.

I quite liked the bed scene with Ling. Connery at his coolest. Only he could pull that duck line off with such flair.

Good god. He really overplayed that entire scene!
  • Best of both in one PTS: The awesome skydiving sequence at the beginning of Moonraker is just RUINED by the flapping arms gag, and the fall/flop into the circus tent.

    Favourite is probably TWINE.

    Least favourite is LALD.

When ever I think of popping in lald I always remember the pts being boring and think well maybe I'll just watch something else
