  One of my favourite seasons, I have still yet to buy any of these Bluray boxset, not happy with the pricing. And if I buy one I know I will then need to buy them all.

  Revolution of Daleks was OK in fact probably the best episode of this era mainly down to how much fun the Daleks were. A slow start this episode could have easily had 20 plus minutes cut from it.

  It was also standard during the Classic Era (Pertwee and Tom Baker being exceptions rather than the rule).

  Well 50% of the first 8 doctors lasted 3 Seasons, saying that Troughton Technically 2 and a Half seasons. So really only 3 Classic Who Doctors lasted only 3 seasons, well make that 2 as the first Doctor had 3 and a Half seasons. (I checked IMDB for the first two Doctors to refresh my memory)

  I unfortunately just think Whittaker was let down by Chibnall's show running. The whole show went south on every element; the writing, the tone. I don't think the shows been the same since Series 10 - which also lost me.
  
  I know it's a children's show in some respects but I think Season 10 and especially Chibnall's run has taken that on board too much. I've always been waiting for the show to become darker and more cinematic.

  I have re watched Capaldi era a few times, he was a good Doctor just let down by the diminishing quality in writing on occasion, Capaldi still does have some stand out episodes that rank highly in New Who. Capaldi compared to the current DW is infinitely better.

  Agreed, from what I've read Capaldi was disappointed in the later scripts, I think
  Both He and I also loved Jon Pertwee as the Doctor. I have tried to like the Latest
  Dr but never warmed to her so have only watched a few episodes and specials. In fact
  of the New Who, Her seasons are the only ones I don't own.

  I liked the tone set for Capaldi's Doctor in his first season I was a bit disappointed that a zany element was added re: playing guitar on a tank later on. I would have liked the dark and brooding interpretation to continue longer. Capaldi's second season probably has the collection of better episodes story wise, though all his seasons are such a mixed bag. I tend to watch World enough and Time the most that's a great two part episode to finish on.

  I do like the Dr to be a bit grumpy. Not as much as they made Colin Baker Though.
