Technically that moment doesn't count as Rog didn't do that stunt - Rick Sylvester did ;)

Frankly I'm flabbergasted nobody's mentioned the "keeping the British end up sir" line. If any line personified Moore's Bond it was that one. Fun, suggestive and English.

That IS the number 1 moment for Roger Moore. End of discussion ;)

    But you left out:-

    1. The tarzan roar in Octopussy
    2. The removing of the leech from his chest in Octopussy
    3. The telling the tiger to "SIT!" in Octopussy
    4. The telling the snake to "HISS OFF!" in Octopussy
    5. The many many times he exclaimed "OOOOH!" in his films (like when he gets chucked onto the jeep in Octopusy when he is wrapped in cloth pretending to be dead

    Can you tell I don't much like Octopussy, lol? :-q :-? :-|

The only decent films Roger did were LALD, TMWTGG, TSWLM. He should have quit after MR in my opinion as that was when it started to wain and then let Dalton do the films in the 80's. I think Dalton would be more respected as a Bond if he had done more films.....anyway I digress...

    1. Kicking a Loucqued car manages desired results (FYEO)
  • This thread is a bit ambiguous, by best Moore moments do we assume best acting, best lines, best activity, nonsense moments, I guess there's a bit of all that here really

To cover all that I put forth-

The Zorin airship hang on over San Francisco and Golden Gate bridge finale
Coming out of the sea with Bach (and dropping a fish out of the window)
The Octopussy train roof scenes and killing the knife thrower in the forest
The Moonraker spin and stopping the ride with the wrist dart
The car somersault with the Louisana sheriff in Golden Gun
  • working on the basis of best acting moments:

    1. the casino scene in octopussy " double six, fancy that".
    2. Bond and Melina on the sledge in FYEO
    3. Anya confronts Bond about his nice lighter.SWLM
    4. slapping miss Anders about in MWTGG

    In no particular order:

    1. 'Keeping the British end up sir.'
    2. 'Fill her up please.'
    3. Dropping the fish out of the Lotus window.
    4. 'But James I need you.'
    'So does England.'
    5. I just love the way he says 'thank you' when Mr Bigs goons throw him into the alley.
