    As much as SP PTS is the best thing about SP and that is not saying much I definitley prefer SF PTS.

    Actually I agree. A short but effective PTS would be in order for Bond 25, but no wanna be artsy stuff like b+w or insane editing :))

    So you didn't like the CR PTS? That is one of my favorites, Top Three. I would love to see more low key, but dramatically effective, PTSs (FRWL), or a return to truly awe-inspiring stunts (TSWLM, MR, GE).

    It would be great but is ruined (for me) because it looks nothing like Bond but Sin City. The visuals should have been like the rest of the movie.

    CR PTS is one of the best things about the entire series, I love it, one of the reasons I keep voting for it.

    It doesn't look like Sin City to me, I think it was great choice to go with the B/W, Bond taking out Dryden juxtaposed with the brutal fight well and truly established Craig's Bond and the transition from that sequence to Daniel Kleinman's terrific titles with Arnold & Cornell's still bench mark theme of this era is the icing on the cake.

    I did actually have SF just above CR but a recent watch convinced me that this is Craig's best film despite some ripe dialogue and some naff cues from Arnold. Plus all the set pieces are better than any of the ones in SPECTRE.

    I think SP PTS starts out fine but that building exploding like it does and taking out half a block was unnecessary. I don't mind SF's at all, love the russian doll affect of it.

    Although I can sympathise, pairing back these films back and not making them so grandiose and blockbustery, both the final set pieces of SPECTRE were a sign that this kind of thing needs time called on it.

    I don't want to keep referencing it but The Night Manager shows what a great Spy film can be like, it reminded me of CR at times. I'm not saying we shouldn't have exciting set pieces but Bond needs to get back to espionage.

    There was potential in SPECTRE for this but instead we got sloppy story telling and lazy plot devices instead.

    I positively hate the way Mendes introduces Bond in SF pre-credits with that loud music note. Didn't work for me. And it isn't as gripping or exciting as it should be. CR was a better start, but I never liked the actor playing Dryden, but that's just me. I don't mind loud and noisy, so long as its exciting,and done well which SP is (and QoS for that matter!) Apart from TSWLM, which I still think is over-rated, that's not a bad grouping at the top!
