Just had a quick look at GTA IV on STEAM it is tempting, its one of my favorites from the series I don't think I have my Xbox 360 copy if I do its in storage.

I recently played a bit of San Andreas on PC its working much better on Windows 11 for some reason it was really glitchy on Windows 10. San Andreas still stands up well, I loved that game when it was released.

    I'm loving it.

And yes, that original GTA Trilogy is great. I'm glad I still have the originals on my PS5, since they removed them when the new "remastered" editions came out.

I played GTA V a lot though mainly free roaming, I could never really get into the switching characters part of the game. I much preferred GTA IV which at the time felt like a huge step up from the previous games in the series.

I have bought a few games this past week so I may get GTA IV: The Complete Edition next month its currently £16.99 its on my wish list, I will see if it gets any special deal price which is probably unlikely with the content you get.

GTA V was just so lacking in a lot of ways for me. Gone were the incredible car physics and damage physics I very much loved in IV, and the world was way too big for how little content it contained. Hitting the highway and going up north held virtually nothing of value.

    Generation Zero
Decided to jump in to cut another video for my play though. I don't know if an update has been released, but since my last video, the movements of my character were overly sensitive. Moving forwards/backwards and strafing were fine, but using the right stick stick to move the camera was borderline headache inducing. I had to be really careful when turning. :-?? I have no idea what has happened. I did look through the settings just in case, but couldn't see any slider for movement sensitivity.

I wonder if anyone here plays StarCraft 2... just had some really fun games with a friend of mine, and it would be fun to play some games with people here.

Luigi’s Mansion and Resident Evil 4, in honor of spooky season. Two of my all time favorite video games even just beyond the horror genre.

    Pure.jpg

After searching for several weeks I finally found a copy of PURE online at a reasonable price and it plays on Xbox One X.

PURE arrived in the post yesterday and over a decade later it is still great fun though I am a bit rusty, I mastered the game back in the day.

Another racing game i want to revisit is FUEL so I will try to get a copy of that next.

Yeah, I suppose Burnout Paradise paved the way for open world racing games like Forza Horizon, I never really got into it though. Tried Horizon 5 too and similarly didn’t really get into it.

EDIT: I'd jump back into Horizon 5 if they brought that Bond DLC to it.

I bought Forza Horizon 2 and 3 and also the Hot Wheels DLC, I never went any further with the series though I play Hot Wheels often.

Almost finished my revisit of Tomb Raider Underworld, almost 15 years later this game stands up remarkably well, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it again. the scale is still impressive and there are some great visual aspects to the game.

Hoping to play through one of the earlier TR games on PC next, I have issues with the controller, to PC gamer's what Keyboard to controller mapping software do you use? I have tried the in built Steam key mapping presets though they never work... for me in any case.

I'm reliving my childhood right now with Magic: The Gathering Arena for PC. Basically just the card game but all digital.

The game is free, and I put in $5 to get into a draft, drafted a fun lightning deck, and haven't spent a dime since (been playing for weeks). It does feel like you can get new packs and stuff pretty easily just by playing, which is nice.

I posted a whole thing in the whining thread about Magic's business practices and how they charge exorbitant prices for some of their dumb stuff, but I do love the game and it has been a lot of fun.

I think it's the best way to play this game too because you can jump instantly from creating/editing a deck to a basically infinite number of players with their own decks. Then you win new packs, go back and tweak, and jump back into games. And, you don't have a ton of cards and stuff cluttering up your place, and there are no game stores that smell like BO.

Lydia has been sworn to carry our burdens for 11 years.

    Skyrim turned 11 yesterday. <:-P

All jokes about Todd "It just works" Howard aside, Skyrim is one of my favourite RPG's.

@Fire_and_Ice_Returns - I haven't thought about Underworld in a long time, seeing that image makes me want to go back to Underworld. As it happens, I recently dusted of my PS3...

Might have to dust off Skyrim as a break from Elden Ring.

Underworld truly is great game definitely one of my favorites from the series, I am also deep into Legend also though got stuck temporally, I was never overly keen on the end level bosses in Legend and Anniversary It slows down the game a bit for me.

Been Playing a bit of Tomb Raider Angel of darkness this morning, its so clunky on the PC a truly awful game no wonder the game nearly killed the franchise. I did finish the game on Playstation I must have had more patience back then.

I am playing Arkham Asylum again, in honor of Kevin Conroy. Still, after all these years, an amazing game.

Yes, a great trilogy overall. I never completely finished Origins. I’m thankful that Conroy stuck with Batman till the end.

Start with Arkham Asylum. That'll get you hooked. Let me tell you what a powerful game that is. I got it as a gift from an ex-girlfriend when it came out. We broke up a few years later, and I threw everything that reminded me of her out. Except for Arkham Asylum. ;-)

I agree with @DarthDimi on Arkham Asylum. I learned a lot of Batman lore from that game. The character bios that you unlock were interesting to read. A lot of those characters I had never heard of before.

From one birthday to another, Assassin's Creed turned 15 yesterday. <:-P

As flawed as that original game was, it is still one of my favourite AC games. When I ranked them before, I believe I put it 3rd, behind Black Flag and Syndicate, and just ahead of Rogue.

I had such a weird dream the day before KC died. I rarely ever dream, I just snore my head off until I wake up but in this dream, I was helping Batman with whatever mess was going o in Arkham Asylum. Such a weird and random dream.

Anyway, last game I played for the umpteenth time was Metal Gear Solid 2 (skipping none of the cut scenes and codec calls). As the years go by my appreciation for the game goes up.

Finally managed to map keys to my controller to be able to play TRIII on STEAM to a satisfactory level, fun bit of nostalgia this was the first TR game I fully completed back in the 90's I later went back and completed the first 2 games after finishing TRIII.

Was the the Metal Gear Solid game with the Oil Rig and Harrier Jet boss fight?

Resumed playing Tomb Raider Legend, I forgot how much fun the Kazakhstan train sequence was. I think because its been well over a decade since I played these games I have forgot which sequences are in each respective TR game.

I really should have played Legend all the way through before playing Underworld, I forgot Underworld was a direct sequel to Legend. Despite Anniversary being second in the trilogy that was a prequel to Legend.

Legend is a bit buggy on STEAM I have had to switch off Next Gen Content during certain parts of the game which is irritating.

I haven't played any God of War: Ragnarok yet as I don't have a PS5, but I have been watching a few YouTube videos of it and I have to say, I absolutely love the game's take on Thor. Funny, badass.

Good game I remember the format of the game being distinct a combination of 3D and 2D, I must have owned it on PS1 its was probably too early for PS2 though I maybe wrong. I would not mind revisiting the game, the only Metal Gear game I currently own is The Phantom Pain.

Edited: Just remembered I have MetalGearRising: Revengeance on my Xbox I have not even played it, I must have bought it when it was on offer and forgot about it. Not sure where this game fits in with the series. Just playing the tutorial Raiden has some lethal attacks.

As I have only really got back into gaming this past year there are probably some great titles I am not aware of, I need to read some recommend list's.

Had a quick blast on GTA IV, great fun I have missed this game.
