Ah, the memories. I stupidly sold off most of my N64 collection years ago. I regret doing it now.
I came close to doing that, thankfully my dad caught me and said no. He was right. I’d like to show him some of those video games some day. Maybe when I have children of my own.
Just purchased the Metro Saga Bundle in the STEAM sale not played any of the games though heard positive reviews.
Had to download one game at a time as running very low on space on my Hard Drives lol
Edited: Just playing the first section the game looks very impressive, very eerie with great animations.
I'm still slogging through Dark Souls Remastered. I'm in Anor Londo now and it's easily the most punishing part of the game. About to tackle the final boss fight here so hopefully I can manage it eventually.
Started with Metro Redux, there are four games in the bundle. The additional game is an enhanced version of Exodus. It's a huge file so not downloaded it yet, will wait until I have completed a few other games or bought another Hard Drive.
It occured to me yesterday after watching several YouTube gaming video's there is a ton of great PC games I have never played.
Downloaded Half Life 2 Update Mod yesterday, the HDR looks great, I am very familiar with the original game so I can appreciate all the extra detail, shadow and lighting improvements.
Deciding whether to start something else now or wait for that Dead Space remaster I'm still undecided on. It looks fantastic but been tougher for me to accept those $70 price tags lately for what amounts to be years-old titles with a fresh coat of paint.
I saw the trailer for the Dead Space remaster looks good, I have the OG Dead Space though like a few games in my collection never played it.
I started playing the Phantom Pain again recently I am not spending much time on the game so its taking a long time to finish. Would be great to see a reboot of the series if that's the case.
Using the gravity gun you can slice and dice zombie's with the circular saw blades its pretty gruesome stuff. Plaiyng this game in VR must be nightmare fuel.
So creepy, so atmospheric. I haven't played any of Half Life 2 since the mid-to-late 2000s but that area always stands out to me still.
As for me, I picked up Dark Souls 3 on the PS4 just now for pretty cheap, eager to get it in the mail. I was going to get Dead Space next week but decided my wallet will thank me if I wait for a price drop.
I first played Half Life on a Windows 98 on Pentium then on PlayStation later on. Its been great fun revisiting the series especially the updated versions.
I have been looking into getting a VR Headset so I can play Half Life:Alyx though I just can't justify the overall cost and my PC though being decent wont allow the full capabilities of VR.
I should have bought a more powerful gaming PC though I did not expect to get back into gaming as much as I have.
Dead Space interests me though these days I tend to wait until prices drop, in recent years I have only bought Tomb Raider and Star Wars Battlefront games at full price on initial release and got stung with the latter (very disappointing games).
I got to enjoy the titles through The Orange Box back in the Xbox 360 days. The complete package was so much fun, some of the best money I've ever spent. I've always yearned for an Episode Three but I think that ship has long sailed, unfortunately.
I remember it being super atmospheric, taking ages to go through any particular corridor or room because I was always awaiting something really terrifying to jump out. Can't wait to play this remake.
After playing Half Life 2 again and Ravenholm section which I was relieved to escape from (I kept jumping out of my skin) I want to seek out more horror games it's not a game genre I have given much time to. I have only half heartedly played Resident Evil games and that was years ago.
I used to be too terrified of some of them but I got more into them in my teens and now love seeking them out. The Resident Evil titles are a lot of fun. I'm eager to finally try out RE4 once the remake comes out in late March.
Never RE titles are somewhat fun. If you want pure horror try something like Amnesia, maybe Outlast(not a whole lot of shooting there, but really good atmosphere).
A lot to look forward to this year!
I did have a few Zombie games though forget the name of them as abandoned playing, one was actually really good I will have to have a look at my uninstalled Xbox Gold games list. RE I will likely start with a more recent game.
Cheers for the suggestions i will have a look for those.

Just been in town and looked in the local CEX gaming shop, its rare I buy disks these days though picked up DIRT3 and FUEL very cheap.
I have been looking for both games for a while now, thankfully both are backward compatible and will play on my Xbox One X.
I played Outlast my final year on campus in college with a bunch of colleagues and friends in my room watching. It was one of the very first PS4 games I played when I bought it, since it was a free PS Plus title, and it was very atmospheric.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
I uploaded what I think is the penultimate part of my play though, having snuck around the party, knocking out Marchenko's goons, all I need to do now is go and take care of Marchenko himself. I don't remember the final fight, so I am going into it blind.
14 years after it's release on PS3, this was released on PS4 today. It's an RPG, so naturally I grabbed myself a copy for my channel. It's a port, rather than a remake/remaster, so it does look a bit dated.
Looks a bit janky but also has that kind of PS3/360-era magic to it as well. I might have to check it out sometime.
I think a 3 course meal of jank is what's on the menu with Risen. But I am only a quarter of an hour in, so I don't want to judge it too harshly.
It looks fun enough to me that the jank is probably more atmospheric than anything. It's nothing overly convoluted but is still in depth enough as an RPG. I gotta check it out in the future when my backlog is smaller than it is.
I hadn't planed on playing it just yet, but I figured a lot of the bigger channels will be uploading Forspoken. I thought that Risen might largely fly under the radar, and as a tiny fish in a large overcrowded pond, I decided to start it now.
