I'm surprised I couldn't find one of these here. The objective here is just to rate each of the Bond films, giving each one a percentage. You can come back to this thread to re-rate the movies, but only you have a drastic difference in opinion for 5 or more of the films, otherwise we'll clog up the thread with repetitive figures.

Here are mine, as of now, arranged in descending order of rating:

    Here is my recently done subjective ratings of out 80. Weighting is 60 film elements (characters, writing, direction, etc), 20 personal tilt. I haven't perfected the weightings, but I put more bias towards things that strongly influence my enjoyment, such as score (which takes up 10 of the 80 points). The way I rate each element is score from 1 to 5 or 10 and rank them relatively so the average is in the middle. The minimum possible score is 12.

    @w2bond - An interesting list. We have a fair bit in common - other than your dislike for GF/TSWLM and Craig's non-CR films, as well as your stronger love for OHMSS, we're close to the same. Nice to see OP being so high up, although putting it over 90% is surprising, even for an apologist of the film like me.

    I've always liked OP, even in my earlier Bond fan days. It's got a great combination of score, villains, action and fun....now that I think of it the 4 most important factors for me. The 5th is perhaps the "spy thriller" element which my top ranked films have

    @w2bond - Well, it's certainly a Cold War thriller, and it may well be the most action-packed of the Bonds from its time - certainly the best in terms of non-stop, consistently amazing stuntwork. And I have a weakness for its score, so I tend to rank it quite highly. But then, I always felt I was already being overly generous to it. Then every once in a while, I see someone who has it in their top 3.

    You're not affected by the amount of self-parodying that goes on in there with the clown suit and Tarzan yell and so on? I have to say that while it is quite funny at times, some of the attempts at humour just feel... cheap. And that degrades the quality of the film for me, as does the oft-perceived lack of engaging villains (Kamal Khan is suave but never threatening, Orlov is crazy but never threatening).

    @ForYourEyesOnly OP's humour is juvenile for sure, and call me the same, but I love it. Gorilla checking the time, tennis during tuk tuk chase, etc.

    I woudn't call OP self-parodying (GE's script is that) but for me, the pros definitely outweigh the commonly cited cons.

    Khan is perhaps not the most memorable but the way he delivers his lines is perfection, among my favourites in the series. The henchman ensemble is neck in neck with GE as the best.

    I couldn't imagine ranking half the series below 50% and 3/4 below 60%. I wouldn't consider myself a fan of the series.

    My explanation of my top 5 Bonds:
    #1 TLD- Dalton. Barry. That's all. ^:)^
    #2 LTK- Again, Dalton. And a great reworking of Kurosawa's Yojimbo for a Bond revenge story.
    #3 TND- Brosnan at his finest; a perfect 'greatest hits' tribute & a timely message about controlling IT and world opinion to boot.
    #4 QOS- A raw, unusual and almost unfinished seeming gem of film-making that sees Bond becoming the agent I know & love.
    #5 DN- THE most Fleming of the movies- how could it not be? No other developed patterns to follow. Connery rocked big time.
