I rate CR as my favourite Bond film (just edging out OHMSS and FRWL) so I'm pretty ecstatic that we got Craig. It's hard to picture Jackman in CR; I would like to have seen him in a GE style film, though. But again, if Martin Campbell wasn't directing who knows how it would turn out?
I don't sing or dance or kiss men, so babs should like me.
Next step should be to change the thread title and have my name instead.
Breaking news: Forgotmyusername says he'd be interested in Bond.
You have to admit, it has a real ring to it.
Really Jackman knows he has no chance, so the old PR trick whilst launching a new film works again, mention Bond and hey presto a few free headlines and news stories appear to help Real Steel ticket sales around the world.
Honestly, Craig is a good actor but he fits in the same role at Jason Bourne and other actions heroes. Jackman has all the intangibles that makes 007 stand out from other action heroes. It's too bad that today's generation doesn't get this.
while Bond might be struggling in terms of gaming and literature, there isn't one shred of evidence that suggests that he is slowing at the box office.... Brosnan's tenure as Bond saw record setting numbers for his final film Die Another Day - numbers which were then eclipsed 4 years later by Craig and Casino Royale - and Quantum Of Solace fell shy of reaching Royale's numbers, but it wasn't far off....
i believe that is roughly $1.2 billion in 2 films??........ LOL @ slowing
