My favorite Timothy film is LTK, by about three spots.

I love both really. Today it's TLD, tomorrow it will be LTK.

    Everyone's favorite Timmy D film:

    THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS

PTS- Bond nearly gets into a head on with FYEO henchman Michel Julienne

Not my favorite. LTK has the better villain and story for my taste. TLD is decent, but LTK is a longtime personal favorite of mine.

Yeah Sanchez is a great villain, IMO and makes Koskov look like Truman Lodge.......actually Koskov makes Truman lodge look like Bond.

I may watch LTK after this and make it a Tim night.

I love both too! TLD i think was just a wonderdul debut from Dalton and its great how they adapted Flemings short story. That opening sequence is pure Fleming!

It is very atmospheric. I kind of wish EON would use that approach for future films: use the original story as a springboard and create from there.

I usually rank TLD a titch higher for the Barry score, Tim's clothes and hair and the great opening.

And the best pre-title sequence in the series!

It's definitely a top 5 PTS for me. I find it hard to pick just one.............though this one is probably it.

Q scene- I always liked this one and the key finder gadget.

I should post this in the "Controversial Opinion thread" but here it is:
    I prefer Tim's Moneypenny to Pierce's.

Toilet scene- Tim gets no privacy- like Sean while filming YOLT.

    I had a friend who's apartment looked liked Kara's.............except his wasn't searched.

I also had a black leather jacket that I thought looked like Tim's (it didn't). The zipper broke the day after I bought it and I just wore it open like Tim.

Chase scene- one of my favorite snow sequences in the series.

    LOL.

Roger would have done his smirk nod to the police as they pull next to the Aston Martin. Tim waves.

The area I live in right now is just as icy and wintry as seen here. Frozen over lakes. I should get in my car take a tire off and see if I can make a perfect circle with the rim.

When Craig's Aston Martin blows up it's an emotional moment.
When Tim's blows up he shrugs it off and rides away in a cello case. MacGyver would have been proud.

I love the instrumental version of TLD as Bond follows Pushkin. I miss John Barry.

    Jailbreak scene.

The jailer Ken Sharrock is 30 years ahead of his time. His haircut and look is very 2017.

I love Bond and Kara sneaking around the airbase in uniform jackets. I'd love to see this type of scene make a comeback.

The music is great as well as they ride to Kamran's home. Great Barry score, IMO.

After I just praised Ken Sharrock for being ahead of his time sporting a buzz cut and dirty green t shirt, I wonder if medium length haircuts like Tim's will come back in style in the near future?

I must have listened to the cassette tape of this soundtrack daily when it came out.

The bit where Tim says "before leaving he arranged for the Russians to buy a large quantity of high tech weapons..............."
I remember thinking the angle of that shot, his delivery and expression made him look a bit like Christopher Reeve. I had just seen SUPERMAN IV in the cinema a week or so before TLD and noted Reeve looking a tad more hard/ rugged and serious than in the others. Tim's delivery of that monologue seemed very Reeve to me.

I love the air net fight. One of my favorite Jake Lombard/ BJ Worth stunt sequences!

Reeve was one of those mentioned to take over after Moore.

That's a GREAT shot. Both at Pinewood filming their respective movies.
