Bond Villain - Kamal Khan: 2nd (Behind Drax)
Bond Girl - Octopussy: 3rd (Behind Solitaire and Anya for me)
Henchmen - Gobinda: 7th (though to be fair Moore had the best henchmen)
S&E are way too in love with Connery, didn't they rate NSNA much more positively than OP?
LOL
Bond Villain - Kamal Khan: 3rd (Behind Scaramanga and Zorin)
Bond Girl - Octopussy: 3rd (Behind Anya and Solitaire)
Henchmen - Gobinda: 4th (after Jaws, Tee Hee and Mayday)
Right. Per the wiki, we don't see him again afterwards. What a waste of a character slot.
Villain? Kamal's 4th behind Drax, Zorin and Scaramanga. I think I prefer him to Kananga in all honesty.
Girl - Octopussy's behind Dr Goodhead and Melina for me. So 3rd like you.
Henchman - Gobinda's tied 5th with Erich Kriegler. Preferred them over Scarpine.
"So what is it you do for a living?"
"Eh I throw knives at my brother."
We really should have watched AVTAK. :)
Siskel liked OP which is rare since he didn't care for Roger. He loved Maud Adams, though. Ebert felt OP was too formulaic, but would praise GE for the same reasons later. They both liked NSNA.
Yes! I am always a sucker for a train scene.
I liked Moore dropping the cannon on Mischka (Grishchka's death is even better). Moore had more of these "ingenious" kills later on in the series. Always liked them.
And the guy's stunned expression could give a five year old nightmares.
The segment of the film with the trains is some really good action and my favourite part of the film. Great blend of spying and action — good stuntwork, high stakes and tension.
Seriously, he seemed to almost have a smile on his face before the look of shock and instant death. Poor guy may not have even wanted to be in league with Orlov!
That shot was always cut on the ABC network.
