The music in this car scene is so cringey but amusing.

My favorite tracks from SP were Crows Klinik and Kite in a Hurricane. GE has a weaker score overall, but a few I really like (the overture and whispering statues). Each are weaker scores, but have their moments IMO. Not sure which I prefer.

That car chase... definitely hurts the momentum after a great PTS. Decent casino scene though. I do like Brosnan’s classic Bond introduction there.

I'm a huge fan of Serra's GE score (I think it's far more distinctive than anything Arnold dished out during the Brosnan era) and like Ladies First as well (I realize I'm probably in a minority of one). From my perspective, it's playful, almost cheap smut flavour mirrors Xenia's personality and her sexual cravings, which are her weapon of choice after all.

    Xenia is certainly memorable.

The scenes at the control center in Russia are really good. The film really starts to gain momentum around here.

I like the bass lick that plays on the soundtrack as Pierce is swimming.

GE has a very underrated score. The GoldenEye Overture is a masterpiece. Ladies First is cheesy but fits the playful scene perfectly. The entire score fits the film like a glove IMHO. Lol never had a problem with The Experience of Love either. Beats the hell out of "When you're not here, I'm suffocating" sung in male falsetto.

Those are good parts you are at. One of my favorite moments of the whole film is Bond meeting Alec and finding out he survived and everything else.

I'm so enthralled by the transfer I'm barely posting. Best I've seen this one look in quite some time.

Great introduction for Judi Dench. My favorite of her performances as M would be: GE, QOS, and SF.

Controversial opinion: Natalya's screaming at Bond in the helicopter is far more obnoxious than Stacey Sutton's screaming in the elevator shaft.

TWINE is clearly Dench's best in the Brosnan films if you ask me.

Mine too as far as the leading lady goes. I'm partial to Xenia and Cigar Girl.

Natalya is one of my favourite Bond girls in the series. She feels believable, contemporary and has a vulnerability about her (standing terrified amongst her dead colleagues).

It's a little thing but i love how she "zones out" temporarily later on when Alec makes his moves on her ("to the victor go the spoils").

I've always enjoyed that transition to Pierce waking up with her screaming. It gives it immediate tension and urgency. The idea that she's been screaming for who knows how long - like we've cut into the middle of the scene. Also it's not as sustained as Stacey's minutes of screaming.

Natalya is a top five in the series for me. I like the fact that she's pretty simply dressed throughout most of it and it's her plucky personality which elevates her character. Scorupco is darn beautiful too, which doesn't hurt.

    Very true.

    Highlight-tank chase.
GE does have some great action set pieces.

She looks good, but her acting is cringy.

One of my favorite Q scenes for sure. Loved all his moments with Brosnan.
