I love Craig as Bond in QoS what happened after this gr
Yes, nice touch.
You read my mind after I wrote that I thought Age, the gaps between his films have not helped Craig's tenure.
I see that and it poses an interesting question, is Craig's performance's or the material given to him more responsible for IMO less intense films in SF and SP.
In recent years it's the Score I listen to the most, the Opera House is a great sequence as Bond is investigating and Spying and it's directed very effectively.
It's a good scene in RN, certainly the sniper moment is very well built up, in QoS the scene when Bond is calling out well SPECTRE in the Opera House is bloody awesome and then Bond is confronted by Greene and his Henchman in the lounge/hallway again pure Bond.
One minor irritation is the location lettering in the film, we don't need it
The plane sequence is Uber Spectre, it's fricking awesome brilliant score.
I also liked the three TSWLM callbacks. I wonder whose idea those were.
Subtlety is key in this film performances are raw and organic and not staged so much, there are a few references from several films some probably not needed the film on its own is good. Unfortunately the last few decades have way too many winks to the past and less subtle than QoS.
I don't mind the odd reference though references never need exposition of a sledgehammer ;)
Arnold's score is great, the finale sounds like Barry at times its that good. As a composer Arnold's Bond score were improving by each film, Newman not in the same league when comes to Bond.
Love the shot when DC bounces out of the flaming building after blowing up the wall they breached, the DC bounce is almost identical to a similar SC shot from YOLT, it's very subtle though looks great.
The Bond Theme appears more in DC first two films than the last few films, Arnold did mature as a composer I would welcome him back as it's guaranteed he would have some Bond ideas in his locker.
