Well, TND was fun- the KD Lang song now- and my fave Brozzer theme.
Of all the Pierce films I do find TND to be the most fun.
Another great Bond double feature! It's been a pleasure.

Yeah, I wish there was a light-hearted, easy going Bond film again. Something simple and straightforward, but original. I know SPECTRE is seen as a return to the outlandish Bond, but it's 2 and a half hours long and contains a lot of very serious scenes which break the mood.
QoS is very quick, but also contains a lot of heavy material, making it unsuitable for relaxed entertainment. I wonder why EON suddenly decided that making Bond films that breeze by like a cooling wind became outdated. Funnily enough, bad as it is, DAD has become my go to film for a fairly modern and lighthearted Bond film.

At 2 and a half hours SP is almost too pretentious to be a popcorn Bond film the style leans towards. Not every entry needs to be deep that delves into Bond's past or psyche.

Precisely right. For once I wish they would just focus on getting the basics right. It's not as if there isn't room for improvement in that regard.

Very true. Sometimes back to the basics is what the series requires. I enjoyed both FRWL and TND tonight and although they have a completely different tone and feel, both get the basics right and are unashamedly Bond films.

I suppose Luigi Ferrara is meant to be Clouseau type of character. Even the hat matches.

Yes he always reminds me of Clouseau.

I've always wondered why Willard Whyte accompanies Leiter on the helicopter assault of the oil rig.

When you'd rather watch youtube videos than Cody Banks, it is time to get back to Bond. I love the scene taken from Live and Let Die novel. 80's Bond had much more Fleming dna in them than any filn since OHMSS.

This film is fun! My 2nd favorite Moore film after Moonraker.

Perfect marriage of silliness and seriousness.
Though , I could live without that Weismuller Tarzan yell.

Now, finally, last of the Moore Bonds; A View To a Kill, from my birth year.

And who is that man, who kind of looks like Moore?

When he had his mole removed, they did also something else to his face. He looks years older than he did in -83. Yet his face look less emitionless, too tight. Facelift?

    Ooh, Duran Duran's next.

@Mendes4Lyfe, be sure to post as many thoughts as you can. This is a plot that makes the head hurt, trying to balance all the character motivations in your mind, who knows what and who doesn't.

Coming up to the train scene now. (had to pause to get something to eat) By the way Vesper sits down and and accosted Bond either she is a free agent at this point, or she is just trying not to seem too eager.

She draws the lines very early on. I'm guessing she is already in love with Yusef, but not yet under instruction. She could not be this playful were that the case.

It's hard to tell when Vesper gets turned. It's clear that she and Yusef have been together long enough for her to really feel in love with him (and for him to get her the knot), but when the fake kidnapping is made and Vesper is commanded to get the money, I'm unsure.

One of the many unanswered mysteries of CR.
