Bond subdues the guard with ease and guzzles a martini.

Now some sneaky Bond........I love this section of TWINE. Bond sneaking into the offices.
He looks damn good in the dinner suit sans tie.

The underwater tie straightening bit seems like an afterthought.
Yep, that was Pierce's idea, not in the script.

I believe Raymond Benson gave Cigar Girl a name in the novelization, and there was yet another name for her character in an earlier script.
    Giulietta da Vinci.

    "The name's Bond,..."

*elevator rockets to the top floor*

    "...Jame-"

*elevator malfunctions and drops to the bottom*

    *sigh* "The name's Bond,..."

Haha, and the one in SP:

    "The name is Bond..."

(undoes his zipper and yanks it out)

    "James Bond."

    Good one!

Bond is being tortured by Elektra.
It's pretty funny. Pierce has some great expressions that rival those of Sean in NSNA on the bench press machine.

TWINE is one Bond I could picture Daniel doing.

    Bond shoots Elektra.
    I never miss.

    Good line.

Still, the scene doesn't quite have the impact for me it's intended to.

And now the hairsniffing. Classic Brosnan.

    Climax on the sub.
I do find this to be a limp ending for a Bond. Even more so than NSNA's ineffectual underwater fight with Largo.
However, it doesn't bother me in the way DAD's climax does.

Right. He does that to Paris also, if I recall.

I saw TWINE several times in the cinema. Once was with a newly married friend and his wife, who was outright offended by Denise Richard's wet T shirt.

Unlike the other Brosnan Bond climaxes, this one also seems to have several shots of Pierce that don't quite flatter him. Odd because he looks quite good throughout most of the film.

And Bond and Christmas Jones make the water's surface in a similar shot to TND with Wai Lin.

So ends the millennium with Bond and Christmas . The audience groaned at the last line.
Had Roger delivered it, I somehow believe there would be a laugh.

A new tradition begins of ending the film with a similar arrangement of the Bond theme for the next two decades.

Hopefully B25 will break this tradition and maybe gives us an encore of the title song?

    Depends on the song.

After yesterday's viewing of TWINE, I find myself in the mood for ................

    ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE

    Far superior gunbarrel, IMO.
