Nine eyes...I'm as bored as the people in the meeting listening to Denbigh are. Something flat in that scene and story. Lovely opening shot of Austria - reminds me of the end of Skyfall when Bond and M are taking in the view in Scotland.

Managed to track down the Pale King relatively simply...

How many times does Bond where a beanie? OHMSS, TSWLM, FYEO and SP? I know he doesn't wear one in AVTAK snow scenes...what about TWINE's?

Increased Bond nerd level warning: I've put on my Spectre Ring while watching Spectre...

I love the character of White and this scene works well.

"You're a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr Bond." Still one of the best lines in recent bond films.

White and Bond's meeting works because they have history that we've witnessed and seen their experiences throughout CR and QOS. This is the problem of manufactured relationships or when we're told people's relationships mean something like Waltz' Blofeld or Paris Carver in TND. There's lots of discussion about their previous entanglements but we never experienced it like we did with White and Bond.

Crows eating mr white is pretty gruesome. Bond really missed a trick not covering his tracks by getting the footage from mr Whites cameras. That should be judged in his work performance review by M.

Oh hello piz gloria...I mean hoffler clinic

.i do like Craig in his first meeting with Madeleine 'it's not the sort of thing that looks good on a form..." "Why is that?' 'I kill people...small world.'

Give it the Bondian salute to Hinx as bond is flying the plane. Like it, Q in the field is good. Using his smarts to give them the slip.

Like that Q takes the moment of the explosion that Bond has caused way in the distance as his opportunity to escape.

I may have been a tad dismissive of the plane chase previously. There are some pretty fine stunts in there and the build up to the plane smashing through the building is tense.

The lack of people populating this film is annoying. No one in Rome at night, no one around the dwellings when the plane crashes into the cars.

Wouldn't mind getting a L'American poster. It would look quite good in the house without being bond overkill. (I have only one other Bond poster hanging - an original FRWL Italian poster)

Watched most of SP last night and enjoyed it immensely this time. I had to go to work so I didn't get to finish the 3rd act. But it is a Bond film that's been growing on me.

.i know there is a theory about C originally intended to be the man in Moneypenny's bed - but that doesn't pan out for me as she says to him 'my boss has lost his keys'...yet they know each other's positions to begin with so that kind of bluff wouldn't work. Her excuse is more likely for a civilian.

Like the nod back to SF - 'what if I shot you by mistake?' 'Well, it wouldn't be the first time.'

What is the narrative point of the smart blood? Do Spectre end up using it to follow him throughout the film? Or is it just so Q can turn up in the field in Austria because he can track him?

once again...everyone just disappears in the train when the fight breaks out.

Maybe the theme song for this film should have been 'Where Has Everybody Gone?' By the Pretenders?

I like the way music is absent in the fight until Hinx pushes him through into the last carriage and then it kicks in. Coinciding with Hinx dominating the fight.

Love the way they get rid of Hinx. Really thought he was going to come back though.

Madeline: "What do we do now?" Roger Moore raises eyebrow...

Up to this point of the film I get why people might prefer SP to SF purely because it embraces more classic Bondian elements.

I like the music as the car arrives at the crater base.

Nice Blofeld touches of putting the personal photos in bond and Madeleine's rooms

None of Craig's films have large stakes. Same could be said for Dalton era too.

Waltz...hmmmm...if there was one thing I could change about this film it would be how Blofeld is handled.

"Visionaries - psychiatric wards are full of them." (2015)
"Our asylums are full of people who think they're napoleon...or God." (1962)

Not a fan of Bond running at Blofeld yelling 'turn it off'!
