Bond is getting destroyed here. I love the slap to the gut.

Now Bond almost has the upper hand.

What a great climax to this scene.

This is no time to be rescued.

I should pop in FRWL. I wonder if the parachute is in the exact spot Grant gets his massage?

I plan to start the New Year with TLD!
No better way to start 2019!

    Meh.

You behave! And I hope you sent Kara a birthday card??

I think a birthday cake would have been more in order with at least one or two members here jumping out of it. I personally would have volunteered.

if anyone is up for a Bond film and comment as we go - let me know. Keen to watch anything except TND or FRWL as I've just watched them recently.

Share New Year's Eve with The Major and a Bond film! Over my side of the world New Years is done and dusted so I'm ready to watch anything as it is New Year's Day and I want to start 2019 with a Bond film. I'll happily extend the choice of bond film to you @Birdleson

The earlier the better for me. It's nearly 3pm where you are? Maybe in a couple of hours? What time suits you?

Least favourite? Wow that is a big call...but I agree that the 009 sequence would have brilliant right out of the gun barrel

So clearly not a tropical setting as it is supposed to be...

feels like this is the 'top gear' hangar....

Yes the mugging aspect is Moore playing Moore rather than Bond. His banter with MacNee in AVTAK is another example where I feel even though it is amusing - it's not really Bond.

The rocket chasing the plane is great. I love the sound of the plane as it descends towards the hangar.

By the way...I'm not a Top Gear fan at all...but I'm aware of it too. Have seen enough! Haha

All Time High...Not a fan of this song. But Barry's romantic instrumental versions of this and AVTAK are spectacular.

No, I understand - OP is a very pendulous film - tonally especially.

Mishka and Griska chasing 009 is excellent. Love the foggiest around and the way the music doesn't kick in until he runs into the second twin.

009 is a hard ass...manages to get all that way. But poor security to allow a dying clown with metres of the ambassador...

I was just thinking that watching CR the other day. EMbassy's are easily accessible in Bond's universe.

Very true...the only difficult embassies to break into in the Bond universe are in the video games!

Penelope Smallbone...not a fan of that sequence! Awkward with Moneypenny...and the actress isn't very memorable.

The Russian council set is great. Berkhoff is really swinging for the fences. His cadence and rhythm of speech is so memorable.

I remember being so excited in the theater when other short stories popped up in this and FYEO.

It's great...I wonder whether they could have made more of Property of a Lady and the auction? I think they would now.

Am I correct in remembering that they used a mirror to cheat the depth of the hallway of the Kremlin art repository?

Fricking love Orlov here! Berkoff is sensational in the role.

He's great - as much as I think his death is striking I kind of wish he was the big bad at the end of the film rather than Kamal.
