I don't want Sanchez going into full monologue and the leiters lighter pay off is a cracker but sometimes feel it's a shade too short.
It took me the longest time to realise that this was Sanchez' place. As a kid I never connected it. Maybe because it's at night I didn't recognise it?
Why don't you wait until you're asked?
If you ask me to...winking fish...and final Dalton film, final Glen film, final Maibaum film.
This always feels like the end of an era to me. Such a rewatchable film. It's always jostling to get into my top ten. Will be interesting where I place it when I redo my rankings. Love this film and it has a lot of sentimental value for me. Davi is so good. Principled psychopath, good addition to the rogues gallery.
It's one Bond film I never tire of.
Thanks @ToTheRight - I feel the same as you about LTK. It's always been high on rewatchability and It has a good pace to it. Despite the second act being slightly convoluted with undercover Hong Kong agents and CIA deals for stinger missiles.
As an aside I remember seeing an interview with Martin Campbell where he laughed about the fact that when he was interviewed by EON for directing goldeneye they asked him what he thought of LTK and he said 'well first thing I'd do is shoot the writer!' Not knowing that the man who was interviewing him co-wrote the script!
Already the music is kicking ass.
Bond wearing a hat in the first scene...is this the last time he wears a hat in the series? (I know he throws one on the hatstand in the Moore era)
This never happened to the other fella
The mood evoked by 'Try' is smokey perfection.
Diana Rigg's screen presence is awesome. The way she pushes away the casino boss is in itself...boss!
Yes, great shot that I suspect occurred to the filmmakers to capture on the day,
Moneypenny gets a kiss on the lips from Bond. Is that the only time (not including the DAD VR thingy?)
"We have all the time in the world" montage...only...love...
Big exposition dump here from Lazenby.
Good point. I think he was.
True, you could simply drop it on the safe to crack it.
"Not ground...ice." Love the delivery from Ilse Steppat
Haha! True.
