When I saw this in the cinema the trailer that preceded the film was for ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN. Animated film with Burt Reynold's voice. I never saw the film, and TBH the trailer made it look annoying from what I recall. I'm watching that first...............

Lazenby's Bond can impress the ladies at any party by playing the THREE'S COMPANY opening lick on the guitar. Believe me, it's kind of tricky to pick out.

We could be doing Youtube video blogs on Dalton's haircut and sideburns, locating where to find a rental tailcoat like Dalton's, and doing blogs on his navy blue shirt/jacket thingy.
007 Magazine dedicated a few issue to this film and did a review. They thought it pretty much sucked compared to TLD. They also thought Tim kind of sucked here and his performance as Bond was well below his debut in the role.
They also thought Dalton's 3rd film should be COLONEL SUN, and that might find a good balance for Tim's style of 007.
I love Kamen's version of the Bond theme.

I just watched ROAD HOUSE the other day.
Never saw that in the cinema, but I love it!
Got me to thinking why LTK did so substandard in the States in '89.
Certainly everyone was into BATMAN, LETHAL WEAPON 2 and LAST CRUSADE, but there were a ton of films that summer. The summer of sequels.
KARATE KID III and STAR TREK V both did less than expected. I think Bond falls into that category. GHOSTBUSTERS II started out strong then quickly dropped.
I saw most of the sequels that summer with the exception of KARATE KID.
Imagine if there had been a Star Wars movie that year.
A fun summer I must say, but it was kind of sad going to Bond and being one of the only audience members in attendance.
What's with that bruise on Lupe's forehead? Looks like it's covered with make up.
The infamous Dalton hairstyle scene. Compared to the black jack dealer that looks like he spent 2 hours blow drying/spraying his hair prior to coming in for work, Dalton looks alright.
My girlfriend thought the scene was funny because of the effect.
Great scene. I love Bond in peril. That needs to come back.

I should be hitting the hay as I worked all night...........but Bond is the priority on Connery's birthday.
I love these titles. My favorite from the '60's next to MAJESTY'S.
No CGI here..............the models really are nude. Apparently Maurice Binder had a natural talent for getting the young ladies to undress for these sequences.
This is my favorite SPECTRE meeting in the series.

I remember the negative response it gave, but I think only Tim Greaves gave it a positive review.

Been awhile since I watched this one...............several weeks.
Also as a belated Happy Birthday to Honor Blackman.
My favorite gunbarrel in the series. Straightforward and Barry doesn't let me down here.
Sean is the man. The KING of cool. Cooler than Steve McQueen. There I said it.
This is my favorite pre-title sequence in terms of low key action and sneaky Bond. I love it!
Besides we get the white dinner jacket. Controversial opinion: Connery looks better in the white dinner jacket here, than he does in DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.
The fight with Alf Joint does look a bit clumsy to a degree, but I love it all the more for that.
Robert Brownjohn in an unsung hero in the Bond series. I love these titles.

I picture Connery's Bond more into Sinatra if indeed he has any preference in music.
There really wouldn't be any musical equivalent today comparable to The Beatles' popularity in the sixties. There is no one today with such influence. For instance, that whole situation with Lazenby growing his hair and showing up bearded at the OHMSS premiere would never have happened if The Beatles didn't have such a strong influence on pop culture. My Dad still wears his hair more or less like Paul McCartney's on those mid-sixties Beatles album covers. No product or anything.
I wear mine like Connery's here. LOL.

When I was in 4th grade I used to pretend my TRAPPER KEEPER was my Bond attache case.
By 5th grade my best friend had got a leather portfolio folder, essentially used for legal pads and notes. He called it a "man's folder".
I one upped him by getting one with a small calculator. Either way in our 10 year old minds they were closer to Bond's FRWL attache case than any kid's school notebook.
Goldfinger doesn't look too worried when Bond mentions Operation Grand Slam.

I usually reserve a birthday Bond screening For Bond Actors Only, some Bond girls, and some villains. Oh and of course, Cubby, Barbara and Michael's birthdays..........Regardless, today is a good occasion to pop this one in.
Into the titles and already it's still my favorite Roger movie.
Some of my favorite Binder titles, though the silhouetted Anya looks nothing like Barbara. I do believe that's Sir Roger, though.
I think Roger might have the best silhouette of any Bond.
Bond in uniform! I also think Roger looked the best in uniform. Connery looked great as well. Pierce's hair looked too long in the back for his uniform sequence, IMO.

Bond in costume. Is this the only film in which Bond doesn't wear a standard suit he could wear to the office? I don't think the brown suit on the train quite counts, nor the safari sports jacket in Egypt.
