DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
Mono soundtrack as I absolutely loathe the audio changes done to the film when it was remastered for stereo DTS, etc.

The mud bath bit.
Although it seems unpopular, I really love this PTS.
Anything that features Terrence Mountain is a winner, in my book.
The mud is brown. On the 1988 MGM/UA Home video version the mud was greenish.
Charles Gray is a great Blofeld, IMO.
I really love this film and it should be higher on my rankings. Something would need to be sacrificed, though.

The Blu-ray transfer here looks quite good for these scenes. Some transfers are depicted too dark.
Dr Tynan is funny. I always laugh when he shrieks after Wint drops the scorpion down his shirt.
BITTEN BY THE BUG!!!!!
On screen so briefly in this one, yet everything you need to know about Moneypenny is on display here. The rapport and flirtatious banter is perfect.
I love that Lois Maxwell did so much with so little screen time.
Bond is hanging out at Tiffany's flat while she changes wigs.
The Peter Franks fight. One of my favorites in the series.

Ah, the legendary Norman Burton as Felix.
An underrated Leiter, IMO. He has great chemistry with Sean.
I love the Barry cue here as Bond and Felix hang out at the airport and go over Frank's corpse.
Bond and Felix are old school here.
Sid Haig, the chap sitting to Bond's right and pretty much everyone else are trendy 1971. Bond and Felix have that look old school Brylcreem greasy style.
I love it!

I love the sleazy musty casino locations here. I believe Circus Circus is soon to be demolished, sadly.

I've never noticed before how so many of the extras are staring at Sean.

Sid Haig was amazing. Quite saddened he passed on.

I salute him for not giving a s**t and flaunting his physique here the way Daniel does now.
I actually prefer Connery's look in this film to YOLT.

This scene on Blu-ray does look very close to the cinematic version. In the cinema, the sky was a vibrant blue and Connery well tanned.
Also the contrast in the cinematic prints were deep.
The Mustang a beautiful shade of red.
Cool to see Bruce Cabot in this film. I love KING KONG.
Cabot and Errol Flynn were great friends until an independent film project caused a falling out.
There was a little more to it than that, but a shame nevertheless.
Love seeing Golden Age of Hollywood film stars appear later in their careers.

It's such a weak climax for me. The special effects are abysmal. And the 'death' of Blofeld is unsatisfying.
It is a fun watch but its very low on my Bond totem pole.

Lovely scene with the MI6 doctor and then Q. Shame about the crap paragliders scene.
Brosnan is good as is Sophie Marceau and the torture scene is well done. But overall its pretty ordinary. Something a Bond film should never be.
Marceau deserved better! She is wonderful and utterly stunning to look at, it's such a pity she is in a forgettable Bond movie!

Occasionally I seem to be accident prone.

The horse sleigh ride looks like fun, though as does the helicopter.
