A bit of a cop out that Felix's CIA buddy saves the day, but I kind of like that actually.
Never noticed that. Good catch!
Watching the old 2000 SE DVD version now.
The gunbarrel is properly framed for a change here.
Also the titles are brighter are far more neon and bluish.
Of course I only saw this once in the cinema in 1985, so I don't really remember what it looked like. This version is a tad magenta.

The Zorin Industries jackets are more blue/gray than turquoise in this transfer.
Overall I find this earlier AVTAK preferable to what Lowery did later.
Pity this version couldn't have been used for the Blu-ray.
I like the colors here far more.
OOOOOHHHHHHHH
a couple more times during the climax.
I love it!
I'm watching another Bond.................
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
I remember when this was first on VHS I'd re-watch the PTS repeatedly just for Maria Grazia Cucinotta, one of my favorite Brosnan era Bond girls.
I'm the same age that Pierce was when this was released. By that calculation I was in my early-mid twenties when this was out and basically dressing older, getting my TWINE haircut, etc. I must have really wanted to be older back then. Now I'm here. Hooray!
He does look great in this one.
I love the scenes in Scotland at the castle. Great M/Q/Moneypenny section.
Ah, the wonderful Q. How I miss Desmond, He'd be 107 this year, next month.
The R bit isn't quite as funny as intended, IMO.
I remember those bulky computer screens.
Bond calls M on her B.S. in front of everyone then looks like he's going to physically attack her for a moment before saying "What Happened?".
Great quip. Sir Roger would be proud.
Pierce is great here.
Wanted to get in another viewing of this in its 40th anniversary!
Great opening shot of Bond visiting Tracys grave!
Have often imagined as the camera brings Bond into view that its Dalton!!
Little did he know the next Bond movie was nearly his last!
Song isnt too bad either. I remember Sheena Easton when she came on thescene first!
