    I remember watching this film 40 years ago and being blown away by the helicopter flight through the Alps, I still am this is the Best Bond film for me.

    When Bond exits the Helicopter at Piz Gloria and you see that backdrop of the mountain range, truly phenomenal.

    Its not that this is one of the greatest Skiing sequences, its not that this is genre defining, its not that this is so well thought out... Bond on one Ski is awesome

    The ice rink scene you really do get the scene that's Bond is in danger, expertly directed which sets up Tracy rescuing Bond perfectly. Great use again of the eerie Christmas theme.

    Bond looking out of the window with Tracy's Body been dragged away super imposed amazing visual story telling, then Bond in M's office which has never been shot better this film is amazing.

    The assault on Piz Gloria begins, god this film is top tier. The sun rise shots of the Draco attack helicopters looks amazing.

    Great write up, Fire_and_ice_Returns. Still my favourite Bond movie. Will do my annual watch at Christmas, always look forward to it.
    I may be free on Tuesday for a watchalong., it would have to be 7pm or thereabouts.
    Was planning to watch MR this evening as I am free.

    Cheers mate, I did not go into much detail lol OHMSS is often top spot for me it rotates with FRWL and TB my Eternal Trinity of best Bond movies. Dr. No is always 4th well has been in recent years.
