The first time I watched this one was on a black and white TV set. It did look a bit noir like.
I'd like to see that return with the next actor.
I like the wind blowing in Bond's hair in that shot.

Agreed. This scene must have been shocking in 1962, but it really drives home the point that Bond is an agent with a license to kill.
Brutal for the time though in the context of what led up to the kill understandable, they keep trying to kill Bond. 'Kill or be Killed...'
