Great write up of NTTD, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns ! I'm planning to do one next week...providing I have a copy of the film in my hands. Christmas is coming up, and there is a possibility I could receive the film as a present. That said, I probably won't wait and just grab a copy myself.

I will be the author of pain for those who haven't seen the film. I have no intention of holding back when I do my comments on this film. LOL.

In the meantime, it was Lynn Holly Johnson's birthday this week so I'm watching

    FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.

The Lotus returns! I love Roger's green suede jacket in this scene.
I believe he kept it for himself after wrapping this film.

I love Valdo and all of his dopey, awkward and obvious dialogue.

    I thought he was great.

Many on here seem to dislike him.

I noticed early on that his scenes are the ones I tend to look the most forward to. Brings a smile every time.

I can see how he may be annoying to fans. I often like annoying Bond characters. For instance, I'm a strong fan of Truman-Lodge, my favorite annoying character in the series.

I'm really looking forward to watching NTTD again in the comfort of my home. Inviting my Dad over to watch with me as he still hasn't seen it.

I love Roger's clothes in this film. He really looks good here. I like his hairstyle as well. It's a bit longer, but he's not exactly going for a specific trendy 1981 look. He's still classic.

    PULL!

    EXTEND YOUR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRMS!

That Identigraph is taken from the GF novel. I guess you know that.

Happy belated birthday. Lynn holly Johnson!
Another character I like who doesn't seem to get much love.
She's immediately turned on by Roger.

Kristatos puts Bond on the spot as he's about to refuse Bibi's invitation to escort her to the triathlon.
I love Roger's facial expression as he's about to turn her down.

Yeah. I love that this film incorporated Fleming throughout.

Bibi shouts at Eric trying to get his attention as he skis away.
That would be a bit embarrassing, yet Bond keeps his cool.

I love the tension as Bond ascends to the top of the ski jump. Charles Dance is great.
    Wonderful sequence.

I love the bit where Bond and Melina hang out at the market,

The wonderful Cassandra Harris. Bond kicked Bunky's ass in front of everyone.
Now time for a meal with the villain.
I love the soothing lounge music in the background.
Bond reject's Kristatos's choice of beverage. Great Fleming style moment.

Apostis has the same hairstyle as the waiter who served Bond his tasty prawns.

The Lisl beach scene reminds me of the PTS for OHMSS.

Bond wears his shiny black dress shoes on the beach. I suppose he doesn't mind getting sand in his shoes.

    Topol is great.

    The warehouse battle. Sneaky Bond.
I'm tempted to track down a copy of the old SE 2000 DVD to compare the color timing.

I love the Locque death scene.
It does look a bit too dark on the Blu-ray, IMO.

Been meaning to do another ranking. I think this may make my top 10, actually.
Bond and Melina are being dragged along the corral reef here. Superb scene and yet another Fleming moment.

If Barry had done the score and they had cut back on the silliness just a tad more (hockey rink), I think FYEO would have made it onto mine.
