If Barry had done the score and they had cut back on the silliness just a tad more (hockey rink), I think FYEO would have made it onto mine.

I love the Conti score, but Barry would have made it more timeless.

Bond ditches his shiny black dress shoes to scale the mountain.
I love the rock climbing sequence.

Great write up of NTTD, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns ! I'm planning to do one next week...providing I have a copy of the film in my hands. Christmas is coming up, and there is a possibility I could receive the film as a present. That said, I probably won't wait and just grab a copy myself.
Too many spoilers ahead, will leave it here for now, will continue later.

I will be the author of pain for those who haven't seen the film. I have no intention of holding back when I do my comments on this film. LOL.

In the meantime, it was Lynn Holly Johnson's birthday this week so I'm watching

    FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.

Thanks, the more I watch the film the more I notice the run time. I do enjoy the film though cant ignore its issues mainly created by the script and some characters literally serve no purpose.

Valdo is an amusing character, I compared Valdo to Boris for obvious reasons though Valdo is far better.

Boris is just irritating, and comes up with the worst passwords in cinema history.

I like the music cue when they descend toward the island and then enter the water, feels very James Bond.

Nomi is written much better in the final act.

So what does Bond have that belongs to Safin, I always forget.

I have read that some have questioned Safin's motived, I have no issue he is clearly insane and has a good complex similar to Drax and Stromberg.

    Oh yeah the
    explosives are Safin's concern.

    Bonds awkwardness is funny.

Stairwell Splinter Cell type scene incoming which is great.

I have never too overly keen when in a Bond film Bonds ends up doing something twice (Excluding YOLT).

I hope an IMAX version of this film becomes available for home viewing.

We would all do what Bond does now as if he does not his family will die
at some point. Blown to pieces, death cause number 3.

A screen white out as apposed to a black out screen in film can and has often indicated a dream and not reality...

Is this a fitting end to the DC era? I guess it is though I disliked the Mendes films, the damage was already done shoehorning all the films together.

Would a separate mission that had no ties to the other four films be better... yes... though they wrote themselves into a corner it would seem.

Watching the pre title sequence of NTTD again, definitely my favourite part of the film.

Bond's reaction when the Aston Martin is getting shot to pieces is brilliant, awesome music.

Watching NTTD again maybe I am being overly critical of this film, I do enjoy it despite issues I have. I think this is a film that will gradually climb the rankings over time.

My second job just so happened to have a copy of

    NO TIME TO DIE
    with my name on it.

    So here we are..................

Tonight we have a HUGE snow storm.
In honor of Safin, I decided to walk to work and back in the snow.
On the way home I pretended to be Safin in the PTS here.

I think I'll spend all day tomorrow talking like Safin.

I'm going thru each of my television default picture settings to determine which looks the most like it's cinematic counterpart. Now if the gunbarrel had blood I'd be able to immediately ascertain.

    I love the Norway scenery.
    The ice lake is intense.

    Here he is!!!!!!!!!!

    Yay! Daniel Craig! My hero!

Tomorrow would be my late girlfriend's birthday. She would have bought this for me immediately. So I got this as an early Christmas gift to myself.

I still have that first DVD of SPECTRE she bought me day of release.
The tribute to Vesper I find extremely profound and moving.
