I love it when the henchman turns up for a final reel showdown...but as its Nick Nack, it doesn't really have the same impact!! Not much of a threat!

    "Goodnight Sir!"
Enjoyable viewing of TMWTGG, particularly the first half which is excellent, but it could have been a classic if it stuck to that grittier style of the opening half!

Great write up, @Mathis1! I really enjoyed this film the last time I watched it. Sir Christopher remains my all time favorite actor, and therefore elevates TMWTGG for me.

Cheers mate! Yes, Lee really elevates it, he was a fine Scaramanga!

Palance would've been great, too. He also made a great Dracula around that time.

Palance indeed would have been more creepy and intimidating.....can't see him as a lover though!

True. That scene with Andrea and the golden gun could've been quite disturbing with Palance.
He was scary in love scenes. The Freddie Francis film CRAZE features a creepy love scene between Palance and Julie Ege.

Well, Happy St. Patricks Day! Our main T.V. channel has 'Die Another Day' as their afternoon movie! 🤮 Of all the Bonds to pick!?! Anyway, might be an opportunity to tear it to shreds in a watchalong, just to amuse myself! Or I may watch something decent! Have a couple of hours to mull it over!

Why does Bond have to be dressed exactly like the guy he's pretending to be. Stupidity from the start

Bonds stance as he's about to be shot, is like he's about to have a penalty taken at him!

Hovercraft chase, poorly staged, like all of Vic Armstrongs set pieces!

Time to put my fingers in my ears for the theme!
Kleinmans visuals though are good, apart from the use of live action!

Why they couldn't just have Bond with scars and bruises and heavy stubble...this beard and long hair looks ridiculous!

This scene is meant to be tense, we think Bonds going to be killed, but he looks so daft, its just laughable!

A dreadful scene, with godawful dialogue

Halle Berry was so good in 'Monsters Ball', but she is terrible here!
