Good day as any to pop in

    OCTOPUSSY.

Love the traditional gunbarrel. Keeping the tradition alive!

This is one of my favorite PTS openings. I really do have a soft spot for this Bond epic.
I remember my folks taking me to see this on a Saturday matinee like it was yesterday.
The ABC network had just had an airing of DR NO and I desperately wanted to see the new film. I was, from then on, hooked and never looked back.

The audience was very vocal cheering during the Acro Star Bede jet scene.
They laughed during "Fill 'er up, please" and pretty much any time Sir Roger opened his mouth.

The Bond double during the titles looks nothing like Roger Moore.

009 pounds Mischka before being killed by Grishka.
    Underrated henchmen.
The ambassador is dressed like Bela Lugosi. All he needs is a black cloak.

    My favorite M, Robert Brown!
This is one of my favorite office scenes.
Douglas Wilmer was great. Hammer horrors, he was on THE SAINT, prolific actor.

M reams Bond a new one for bidding at the auction. I love Robert Brown here.
    I think he was a superb M.

The Bond theme as played by Vijay is slightly off note.

    I feel LUCKY.
    Shall we double?

    The great Louis Jourdan.
One of my fave Draculas as well.

Louis Jourdan's haircut looks kind of effed up in the back.

Magda is turned on by Gobinda taking the dice from Bond's hand and crushing them.

Vijay thinks it's funny that Bond annoys Q by goofing off.

Madga takes great pride in pronouncing all of her consonants.

Bond takes one bite of his soufflé and then it's taken from him.
Doubtful he eats the main course.
Therefore it stands to reason he must survive this mission on one bite of his souffle.
Had Kamal Khan served sliced apples, Bond probably would've been killed in this film during the safari chase sequence.

Bond seems genuinely upset by Vijay's death.

Bond stands in front blocking the audience's view and is told to sit his ass down by the military.

Bond looks really cool in the Octopussy Circus jacket. However, it's nowhere near as cool as the Zorin Industries jacket he'd acquire later.

Is the guy who instructs Gobinda on setting the bomb the same guy who just scolded Bond moments ago?
    I may have to rewind........................................
    Answer:
    No, it's not.

One of the reasons Roger Moore is the most bad ass Bond, IMO is he does all this action wearing slip on dress shoes.
If one has ever tried even dashing across the street in slip on dress shoes with no traction, it's ridiculously easy to fall on one's backside.
No wonder Craig's Bond sported shoes with traction.

I like saying Orlov's lines along with him in my best Steven Berkoff voice.

Orlov's haircut is way ahead of it's time. Everyone seems to sport the General Orlov do these days.

I love the train rooftop sequence.

Bond gives some obnoxious teenagers the finger, then gets a giant wiener shoved in his face.

I think B26 should have a remake of the scene where Bond steals the lady's car while she's in the phone booth.
No phone booths today so she'd have to be on her smart phone, not paying attention to her surroundings when the new Bond takes her wheels.
Barbara Broccoli could make a cameo here a'la Mickey G.
    Ah, forget it,
By the time B26 begins shooting, smartphones, cell phones, phones in general probably won't even be around anymore.
