    Back to San Monique for some nicely atmospheric scenes. Moore looks supercool all in black with the huge 44 Magnum.

    I don't think any other Bond film has this much focus on his watch.

    Pretty lame climax with a terrible exploding Kananga effect.

    Great comments, mate. LALD is a really entertaining Bond film! Great debut for Rog! Along with LTK, it has my favourite set of villains!

    Thanks mate. It's not in my top ten, but it's great Bond entertainment. Was in the mood for a rewatch tonight.

    Superb write up, @LeonardPine!
    I'm in another Bond mood tonight. I enjoyed my viewing of SPECTRE enough I need to see
    CASINO ROYALE again.

    I'm at the Body Worlds sequence. I worked for a convention center that had a Body Worlds exhibit.
    It was while this film was in cinemas. I beleive the exhibit had a different name: Body Works or something.
    I was kind of like security, had my Craig haircut, wore the blazer uniform and looked the business.
    It was fun as I kept bringing up this movie in conversation.
    Everyone I knew loved this film.
    I saw it about a dozen times in the cinema.

    I must say the release of this Bond film ignited the most excitement I had for Bond since I was a kid.
    I loved catching every new Brosnan movie, but the fact my favorite novel was finally being brought to the screen by Eon really got me going.
    I used to not really enjoy the Miami airport sequence, but I love it now.

    M's assistant nearly pukes and exits stage left. When he believes he's out of the camera's range he drops character.
    I can never NOT see that when I watch this scene.

    I really do hope Eon doesn't resort to attempting another origin story with the next actor. This film is as perfect an origin for Bond as one could want, IMO.
    Actually, I think it could've been played without it being an origin story and reboot.
    Ah, Vesper.
    Eva Green is great.

    Bond entering the casino is one of my favorite types of scenes in the series. Campbell made Pierce look cool as well. This and GOLDENEYE's equivilent are fun to compare.
    I love Mendel the Banker.
    He's great.

    I like Craig's hair during the poker game.

    This film is a masterpiece.
    Barbara and Michael most certainly aimed for NTTD to be a cinematic masterpiece, but no. This is it.
    I think this makes THE GODFATHER look like rubbish.

    I love that Bond is in danger throughout this film. That's played to the hilt.

    I think Arnold's score sounds very John Barry-esque during the shower sequence.
    I wish he'd come back. Effing A. It's a crime he's missed out on the last several films.

    That's a beautiful piece of music. Barbara Broccoli commented on it in the Being James Bond documentary.

    ........so I'm continuing my Craig appreciation with
    SKYFALL.
    Interesting watching these films relatively close to each other and getting a gauge on how I feel about Craig's era overall.
    The train tunnel sequence may be my favorite section of this film. Bond's rapport with Q is wonderful.

    Fiennes looks about 35 years younger here than he would in NTTD.
    I think Craig looks more or less the same.
